This is my first post so be gentle, it also seems like a pretty obscure deal but I thought it was good so vote hot if you agree.
From what I can tell this offer is for University students only. Those currently looking for their next years property. Basically, I go to Birmingham University and along with my friends we just put a deposit down on a house for next academic term. The letting agent asked us about broadband, phone and TV and told us about an early bird student offer with Virgin Media. Details below:
Student Pre-Registration Early Bird Offer - Virgin Media Broadband, TV & Phone
Students can pre-register for Virgin Media services and get an exclusive deal when they move in to their new property.
All we did was gave over our name and email address to our letting agent along with our predicted move in date. They forwarded our details on to Virgin Media and we received a voucher with a unique promotion code by email. You hold on to the voucher then Virgin contact you 2 weeks prior to your move in date to finalise any order you want to go ahead with. If you dont want to sign up you dont have to and since theres no contract or deposit you can just tell them you no longer want it. The voucher and pre-registration gives you 3 things:
Fast track installation during Virgins busiest student period
Best Price guarantee - because you dont actually sign up to Virgin until a couple of weeks before you move in the voucher guarantees you the best offer available at the time. In other words, you dont sign up now at a high price and then find out there is a better deal when you move in!
£35 Early Bird Welcome Credit on top of the best price guarantee so you get at least £35 more than any other customer.
Now heres the tricky bit! I think you can only get this deal via authorised Virgin Media retail partners because Ive not found it anywhere on the internet. We used Mulberry Lettings in Harborne, Birmingham but I think they partner with letting agents all over the country. You could try asking your letting agent if they are a Virgin Media partner or you could just try emailing the address that sent me our voucher.
