Tesco wines - 750 bonus points + £7.50 off + free delivery....but be quick!!

Instructions:Just discovered that the 750 bonus points on wine code (XX-K93K) also gives you £7.50 off! Add this to the free delivery currently offered on wine (it accepts both in the one order) and the 50% offers on some wine means a tidy saving/points collection can be had.

This seems like a good alternative to the 1000 points code (if, like me, you've used yours) and may well be a better deal!

Enjoy!

ps... remember to spend £55 otherwise the 750 point will not work. Be quick.. code expires 20/5

Just ordered 18 bottles of nice wine for £57.94 after discount and including free delivery. I just hope the 750 extra clubcard points are actually added. Brilliant find thank you - heat and rep added

Please be a little bit sceptical of this offer folks. I regularly buy from Tesco's online winestore and an almost identical deal (ie 750 points + £7.50 off) came up a few months ago so (like some of you are contemplating now) I went for it.

However upon receiving the invoice with my delivery I noticed that whilst I had been credited with the 750 points to my Clubcard account the £7.50 discount didn't apply. I contacted their customer services to query this and they confirmed that I would be receiving the points but NOT the £7.50 discount - it was an either/or situation.

Now some of you might go along with my personal view that Tesco should really be indicating the TRUE monetary/points discount at the time that you place your online order and not when the driver turns up with your wine + invoice. Tesco on the other hand will say that those voucher codes (as generously passed on by the original poster) are only meant to be used by the customer they were originally sent to.

So, in short if you're happy with just the 750 points (worth £30 in Clubcard deals) then go for it. But if you're expecting the £7.50 discount too then you may be disappointed. Hope I'm wrong.

Thanks! Just ordered 18 bottles of wine at 6am!

(Not good for my reputation, but I have added heat & rep for you).

Seems to have taken off £7.50 and recorded the points on the receipt. Fingers crossed they will honour the e-coupon.

Thanks MarkPoole.... havent taken delivery of the wine yet so dont know if both the points and discount will be awarded - lets hope so.

Boo_2112.... do you drink lager? For some reason, you can buy Carlsberg lager on the Wine site. Not sure if the price is steep (have a feeling it might be?) but worth a look as an alternative to wine

I'm giving this a miss as buying wine in bulk results in me drinking it in bulk...still have pre Xmas stock in the garage and still I buy more so it's time to apply the brakes....nevertheless an excellent deal.

Thanks for the info Mark (welcome to HUKD by the way).

Well, if they don't apply the discount I'll simply be refusing delivery when it turns up- no problems.

Ordered 3 cases before I saw Mark's post.

Will make sure that I check the order for both the discount and points when they deliver.

If they don't apply the points and discount we will just refuse the delivery as BigAde states.

Last week we received a grocery order that stated that they could not apply the 1000 points. The wife rang Tesco to complain and they stated that there was a technical problem with the code and they would credit us with the points. Received an email yesterday to confirm that 1000 points would be added to our August Statement.

Looks like this may have expired as I just got the following when I entered the code...

'Sorry, the 'XXK93K' voucher has been used the maximum number of times.'

Anyone know of other codes that can be used with the current free wine delivery offer? Would even be happy with a fiver off as this would effectively mean circa £10 discount with the free delivery.

Pasted and copied this £10 off voucher from my basket.F4C89X6NJ4PC.Don't think there is a £10 voucher in the vouchers section anymore.

Many thanks Bazr for your help. Unfortunately the code is not being accepted (used too many times I think it said) but I managed to find a £5 discount that is working now. For info for anyone else it's XX-G46T. Cheers.

You were right to be sceptical MarkPoole. I was credited with the 750 points and my order confirmation email and summary on their website showed the discounted amount (-£7.50).

However, I've just checked my bank account online and I have been charged the full amount!! It would appear that the voucher should have only given 750 points and not £7.50 off too.

So, I've been on the phone to Tesco. After one conversation with someone refusing to honour the discount, claiming to be a "customer services manager", refusing to give me his name and then hanging up (gotta laugh really), I got through to someone else.

She said she would investigate and phone me back. 4 mins later (fantastic I think) she called me back and pointed out that although I was charged the correct amount (as the voucher shouldn't have given a discount), they would honour it and refund me £7.50! Great news!

I guess as I have an email order confirmation stating the discounted amount they have to honour it by law?

Thanks spottydog. Just had my wine delivered and was charged the full amount. Your post gave me the confidence to get straight on to them. They asked if the discounted price was on the confirmation email, apologised for their mistake and would credit the difference immediately. Wiil toast you with the first glass!!

You're welcome Billymacm! Glad to hear you were successful too.

Cheers!

I am having this problem too
The chap laughed when I said I expected £7.50 discount and 750 extra points - "Oh no - you either get one or the other" he says
"Well it was pretty irresponsible of you to send me an email promising both then." I cheerfully replied.

They have gone away to think about it and will get back to me.
