Hi,

Thank you for the post :). Was wondering whether or not Argos were going to be running the voucher promo again tomorrow. Probably in conjunction with their 7-day special offers which seem to be changing on Wednesdays. Just my luck having spent quite a considerable amount of money with Argos last weekend :(.

The XBox promo finishes on 24th Dec doesn't it?. There are two expiry dates for the promo but the catalogue numbers are the same for both promo's from what I can remember.

Kind Regards.

Sorry how does this work ? The xbox deal ends tommorow at close of trade does it ?

Can you get another £5 off the xbox you you buy tommorow and apply it at the time of purchase ?

Sounds like an even better deal if so...

Just asked staff member, the price you reserve online is the price you pay when you collect instore, this has only changed at argos in the last month..... unless it goes down in price,as in sale items,as the new prices are in the system for that day.....some info on the xbox thread about how to get £10.00 back from xbox deal.....

The offer ends at close of buisness day, hope this seems clear.....

Hi there is a bit of confusion here.

Their terms and conditons say that

"The price you pay will be the price in store on the day you collect and pay for your items."

I cannot get to my nearest argos store untill the 2nd of December. I did manage to reserve 5 xboxs until that date. Does that mean they will be full price when I go to pick them up?

How to I apply the voucher to receive my discount?

Hi and welcome to HUKD mr.vibez.:)
How did you manage to reserve till the 2nd dec.Whenever i reserve online it's usually till the end of the next working day.:?

Take the reciept to your store and you can get a voucher for everything that isn't excluded. They know you can just return it and rebuy so they do this to save time.

I believe Argos will honour the price that an item was reserved at (even though the T&C say different) but only if you ask otherwise you get charged the current price.

I work at Argos so I'll get 10% off plus a £5 voucher so a £40 X-Box for me. :whistling:

Edit: I don't think this is genuine. They usually put these offers on the Argos website.

Remember to buy something more than a penny too - xbox is £49.99

It might be on the website tomorrow - that is when it starts. Not seen any press ads for it though.

ive spent like £300+ on xboxes and gifts cause they were at unbeliveable prices and now they do a voucher offer :o :geek:

they are excluded from the 16 day money back crap so how can i go about sorting them out :-(

;-)
#18
You won't get the vouchers, sorry. I almost rushed out and bought one today, lucky I waited.
#19
But you've got £300+ of XBoxes [worth twice as much!] that are going to make some people very happy this Christmas. 3 x £10 gift vouchers would have been nice on top yeah, but I don't think you would have found that amount of XBoxes available for tomorrow anyway ;-)
#20
well said rayman, better you got the bargain without vouchers, i think all argos uk stock has been bought so you should be glad to have got one
#21
Hi, I'm a little confused :(. Is the price of the XBox going up in price tomorrow (29th Nov)?. Regarding the pricing policy changing recently haven't Argos not always charged the price in store on the day that an item or items are collected regardless of whether or not they were reserved during a promo?.

Apologies for being so ignorant :(.

Kind Regards.

I dont understand what you people are saying here it says £79.99 and theres 2 special offers one ending 29th November 2006, the other ending 24th December 2006. Will they put the price up to £79.99 after tomorrow for the Xbox on its own?

Also whats so important about collect in store? Surely they deliver and it still works out cheaper?(plus they cant charge you £79.99 by telling you that you must be mistaken)

Yeah, it's confusing to see an offer for £49.99 then £79.99 further down. I think the £79.99 is the price of the games on its own. All I know is if you add the XBox and Games to the trolley the total is £49.99. The price is going up after tommorow but the gift voucher offer is starting tommorow so obviously the golden day is tommorow.

You could have it delivered but at least for my area the games are out of stock. You're also paying another £4.95 for delivery, I'd rather go to my local Argos than pay that. The store shouldn't charge you £79.99 but at least one person had the manager phone head office to check.

Just been on Argos' website and the vouchers are definately back

Guys, just to let you know, this £5 voucher back offer states the order must be over £50 excluding delivery fee and the xbox console+4 game pack comes to £49.98 excluding delivery so we might not get this voucher, depends if Argos are in the spirit of Christmas or in the spirit of Scrooge

Cant say too much, Cause I like my job.

BUT

You could always tick the "give 20p" to charity box.

You also dont have to give 20p, the amount is variable.

You COULD for instance, donate 2p.

;)

Just ordered a desk online, big one for £129,99, says I have qualified for the £10 voucher and will be sent seperately, so seems to work online too.
