I've signed up and all seems ok. You get to choose the package so i've got unlimited rentals for 3 months. Just cancelled my sky movies as a result so that's saved me £7 a month for the next 3 months. Well pleased! Thanks.
#2
Thanks for the post wideboy and welcome to the forums to cocks3 :) Hope you went through quidco for some cashback too! :-)
#3

#4

Just got to compliment lovefilm on their recent service for me.I have been a long time lovefilm hater and have only been using them because it has been free.As of late the turnaround has been exemplary and today,a Saturday wedged in between 2 bank holidays, they even received my discs back and sent out some more, unbelievable.

How many films will they send? It says unlimited but there must a limit, Does this include Blu ray and HD-DVD?

If you choose the unlimited 2 option its unlimited DVDs/Blu-rays/HDDVDs but only 2 at a time.

How do these guys compare to Amazon's DVD Rental? (Which I currently use.)
#13
sounded great to me - but won't let me reactive my account using this code. May have to use another email account and sign up again :)
#14
I used a similar code a couple of weeks ago and didn't get charged an activation fee, I have used codes for the past year and will have only paid for 2 months.
using 2 , 3 months for the price of 1 and have used 3 months free twice in a row

can't do better than that works out at about 20 pence per disc
#15
Thanks, voted hot and reactivated my account :).

Well there are a lot of LoveFilm haters out there, who have had some bad experiences. I have used them for a 3 month trial before, and used this code to reactivate - they have always been extremely fast for me, usually within a couple of days I would have new discs after sending them back. So far ive had so months without paying a penny, cant be bad!
#17
Thanks. I just re-activated my account.

They were getting quite slow towards the end of my last trial, but it's free so I can't complain :)
#18
yup - thats my 90 day free reactivated - many thanks to original poster!
#19
Is this for re-activating recently cancelled accounts, or can you use it for accounts cancelled at the end of last year (December) ??

I'm just trying to work out whether to 're-activate' or sign up for a new account.

Thanks
Daniel

When does it mention 3 mths all I can see is 14 days free.
#21
Great find! Rep added

No need to sign up for a new account. Just click reactivate and then continue, then enter the code and then it gives you three options (dont choose the £4.99 one!)

Normally these trials are a time period and a disc limit, is this one just 90 days with no disc limit?

As in last time I signed up to a free trial it was 21 days or 6 discs, whichever came sooner. Is this the same? Or is it just 90 days?
#24
Thanks, worked for me.

90 Days, unlimited discs, 2 at a time. Choose the Unlimited 2 option or the Combination one (as I said before, just dont choose the £4.99 one!)

If I want to go through Quidco and take this offer how do you do it?

When you go through Quidco's link, it says you shouldn't change the code on the form or it may not track.

If you sign up via Quidco, once you have an account can you apply this voucher after?

£14 Quidco is too good to miss.

Quidco says:
Please read the following before proceeding:

To receive your earnings you must be signing up for your first no-obligation free trial. If you use a promotional code in conjunction with this link you may not receive your Quidco cashback.

Existing subscribers or those who have previously enjoyed a free trial with any LOVEFiLM-powered site are not eligible.

I am an existing subscriber - sounds like they changed the offer since it was posted here????
#28
Ive tried going through quidco, just change the code on the signup page to the one metioned in the first post. Nothing to lose by trying it?

p.s I used a 3 month free trial with Blockbuster last year and got £15 quidco cashback!

I logged in last night with my cancelled account from last year (same email, same name and card details and address etc) clicked "reactivate" and it gave a box for "Promotional Code" and it worked!
#31
Thanks for that...have reactivated account! Voted hot and rep given.
#32

When you click on reactivate account (it has to be dormant for the code to work as far as i know) it gives you three options, a £4.99 package (2 discs a month) a £12.49 option (2 discs at a time, unlimited) and a £14.99 option (2 discs a month unlimited - i think this one includes games and hddvd?). It didnt mention anything about 3 discs, and if youre on a special offer already you may have problems using the code.
#34
wow.. i've not payed them a penny and this will be my third 3 month trial.. Life is good!
#35
Voted hot - excellent.

Went via quidco so will wait to see if I manage to get the £15 from that as well as 90 day free trial.....

.... Ive ordered a PS3 (via another HotUKDeaks thread) and will be ordering some Blu Rays and PS3 games soon to see what all the fuss is about.

Thanks Originator

Please can anyone help? It doesn't seem to work. Trying to reactivate an account that I cancelled in November 06, but am getting the following message.

robot1000 is not a valid reactivation promotion code

Have they turned to code off or something?
#37
Max - try using the code 'LFZZ98778'. I think you'll have a lot more luck.
#38
Does anyone know if cancelling is straightforward and easy? I read somewhere (may have been an old review of lovefilm) that cancelling can only be done on the phone through a national rate number but when I looked at their site, it says that cancelling is only available through their website.

I've also read a lot of negative reviews of Lovefilm, mostly older reviews. Have they got better recently?

I've used them before and not had trouble cancelling a trial. It was via the website and straightforward. I wouldn't hesitate to try them again; in fact I'm just about to know...
