shame its locked to a crappy network which mutilates the firmware on the phone thus restricting the features. One example:

-Not letting you use MP3s as ring tones claiming its because of copyright reasons when its really do they can promote their rip-off Vodafone live service,

Vodafone are not the only people that do this but they are the worst offenders which is why I stick with O2 because their phones come sim-free for the most part

Lots of websites that have the firmware if you want to flash it to anything you like... there is discussion on various websites that it also supports the new k810i firmware. Google it.

I don't want to be the bringer of doom, but buyers need to be aware of this clause in their T&C's

" # If your delivery address is outside of Jersey, you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Any such additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you. You should note that customs policies vary widely from country to country; Play.com advises each customer to contact their local customs office for further information. ".

I've a Vodaphone W850i on business contract & using the supplied Sony Disc to phone software which converts CD tracks to MP3's allows the use of these for ringtones & plays the whole track.

i went for the leather laptop case - bloody good buy after quidco etc. :-)

Just to let you know - this site has been linked to from MSE and it seems that Play.com have adjusted the price of the Seagate 500GB external drive now making it £69.99 delivered using the code above! Just ordered one.
#24
Where do you put this code in?
#25
In the bit on the right of the screen that says 'Voucher Entry' when you get to the Confirm Order screen. Put the code in and press 'Use Voucher'.

I forgot to use Quidco. :-(

All the reviews of it seem to be good including this one...

http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Agent-Desktop-External-ST305004FDA1E1-RK/dp/B000ND75C0

The Pro version is out now which is firewire as well as USB so maybe that is why this version is going cheaper. But for a 5 year warranty I don't think you can beat this if you are ok with USB connection only.

Cheers

how do you get 5% for students?

It's not all students, just college students who are currently applying for uni or will do next year through the UCAS card scheme.

Just checked original post - it looks like the price should be £99 after voucher applied - hope this isn't a Play.com c*ck-up meaning we'll get emails saying item is out of stock :-(

I would imagine you would get away with small or not very expensive items as it probably wouldn’t be worth the effort applying charges….but if it was a large item, that maybe a different matter.

Have you ever bought any expensive / large items from them?
