Instructions:Just got these rammed down my letterbox (yes royal mail working for now???)

Wasn't sure if Littlewoods is barred on these forums yet so thought may as well post it

£20 off a £45 spend (again for 1st order) ZG227
20% off your 1st order XX165

Please don't threaten me with legal action for posting & NO I am most certainly not affiliated with Littlewoods (before anyone asks) - and it's not a conspiracy (or I think it isn't?)

Oops sorry (will know in future)

I wouldn't touch this company ever again.

Not only do they give a discount code then cancel it and then charge you 2 months later ........the staff on the enquiry line are the rudest most iggnorant people I've ever spoken too.

They have recently had 15 accounts closed by me and my family alone, including GUS marshall ward as they are really bad for their service.

How did they get your details? Are you a current customer of LXD or on one of their other brands? Still trying to get an answer to how these 'first order' codes are actually handed out....

The code above did not work! the site seems to accepted the code alright but it doesn't showed in the order summary which means that the code has been rejected. :(

I got stung by the £25 voucher aswell, haven't done anything about it yet. ie paid them.

Anyone got away with it- I bought a wii remote holder thingy, they sent me a different one to the one that was pictured, maybe I can complain and send it back?

after all the fiasco on here that other people have suffered i wont ever be using a littlewoods code ever

not your fault though op x x x
#13
Use at your own risk.

They are effectively an incentive for new customers to join, but they will charge you full price after a couple of months cos they are cants.

Wouldn't touch Littlewoods again after being stung by the £25 fiasco. I have spoken to trading standards and they say its illegal for them to charge you after the contract has been formed. Also if you pay by credit card they set up a credit account for you which is also illegal. So have sent them a letter advising them of this and just waiting for the outcome. Hope this helps if anyone else in the same position.

Yes joined them up with the £25 fiasco that's why my listing was a bit of a joke. I too wouldn't want to deal with them again, got stung now lumbered with a piece of kit I can't return. So the codes were sent to me as a current customer but some sent as junk mail too (ie past customer - probably trying to lure me back?) from my old address.
#16
So they send first order only codes to current customers? Did I read that right? Highly organised they are yes lol.

Yes I agree with you, couldn't think of what else to do with these useless codes other than to hook other poor unsuspecting HUKD members into the bottomless pit of Hell, called Littlewoods and their rip-off practices.

I got clobbered so why not hook in others - i am sure there are plenty of gullible mugs? :giggle:

Or is that what Littlewoods thinks by sending out such rubbish!

As my keytags state:

"conspiracy, £25ripoffmerchants, isitworthbuyingfromsuchanoutfit"

When you get hit by them once do you really want to jump in bed with them again?

I've used Littlewoods for years and never had a problem. In fact when I ordered beyond my means (I know I know) when I moved house and needed new fridge/freezer/dishwasher/beds etc (they all bust within a few months), Littlewoods did not charge me one penny in interest. I have just finished paying them 4 years later - ordered on a 20 wk credit plan. They were always curteous, did not put a black mark on my credit record, and never made any court threats etc. I'm not sure why people bad-mouth companies in response to someone posting a voucher. If you were going to buy something from them anyway, and get it cheaper through HUKD then great. If you are looking for something to buy in order to use a code on HUKD then...don't be so gready! Voted hot. And if they subsequently remove the code that I have used - well then they didn't send it to me in the first place and I was ordering the goods anyway so I haven't really lost out! :giggle:

It is not a matter of greediness but a matter of principles. No one should accept Littlewoods' such unethical practice.

Littlewoods knows it well, there would not have been so many orders if the discount code was not accepted in the first place. Yes Littlewoods has the right to honour or refuse the code, then do so when the order was being placed, certainly not by withdrawing 2 months later and forbid buyers to return items. It was misleading, dishonest and unacceptable. We consumers reserve the rights to boycott any merchant behaving like that.

PS, Years ago Littlewoods sent me a cheque for £1 payable to me personally, tried to lure me into buying from them. What did I do? I banked the cheque but never place an order. Merchant at such would never have my purchases. :whistling:

Could everyone affected by this scandal join http://geteven.biz/index.php and let us all know there? No need to give littlewoods free advertising by keeping this thread active for longer than it needs to be.
