Why the cold votes?
I know some things on the site can be over priced but not everything. This is a good voucher when purchasing certain items.
#4
hi, not working for me - does it say what items?
#5
nor me ZQ174 - This offer code is invalid
bummer
#6
No doesn't say its restricted to any items. Got it in the post this morning it just says.... "We've noticed you haven't shopped with us for a while...". Read the T&C and they say it can only be used by the person to whom they are issued. Looks like it maybe linked to my account :( Sorry... I will mark as expired :(

I used a voucher code that i obtained on here, succesfully applied to my order,no problem, item delivered,no problem, paid 2 out of the 3 direct debit payments to pay for item, then big problem,i received an email from Very: Thank you for your recent order.

At the time of ordering you quoted a £25 discount code. Unfortunately as this code was not issued to you I am sorry to let you know we cannot accept it as a discount off your purchase. Accordingly, we have applied a £25 charge to your account in accordance with clause 2.3 of our terms and conditions.
Not only that, but just got my latest statement and they have also applied £1.75 interest for no known reason.

Ring them up and complain, tell them they have no right applying the 25 quid after you received the goods. They did the same to me, and after a nice phone call, they realised the error of their ways and cancelled it. Ask for another statement to confirm that the 25 quid has been removed.

Exactley same happened to me, I emailed them back saying i used code in good faith, saw it on a flyer and threatening them with trading standards, very wernt interested and said I wasnt entitled to it I couldnt be bothered to argue any more in case i got interest for not paying my bill, so i returned item, I will not use a code again thats for sure,.

I would have returned my item, except that it was an electric shower, had been installed and in use for 2 months before they slammed the £25 onto my account.I couldn't be arsed either in fighting them,so just accepted it and learned never to use them again with a code that wasn't given to me.

I actually had this code sent to me from Additions through email. It wouldn't work for me either and I am definitely the one receiving the offer from them so you would assume I would be entitled!

I have read all the fine print etc etc and it's not restricted to certain items. I will try phoning them to see why they send people promotional codes and they don't allow them to use them.

@ bazr. They're now trying to be clever and put a whole string of small print about 'if you're found not to be entitled to the promotional code used' blah blah blah..... that they can charge you the amount you gained :( so it looks like they're just trying different ways to combat helpful sites like these :( I did use codes from here in the past on other catalogues and got away with it. Shame they're not prepared to honour discounts and enjoy the custom!

Some of the Shop Direct grp catalogues do charge interest which is shown on your statement. For instance Littlewoods doesn't on purchases made on the 20 weeks option but Additions charge less for their products on the same payment plan, but put you on an account that charges 'at least' 29.9% APR!
