The yellow ones are very bright. I got the yellow straps/attachment to clip on to make them all yellow. And also added the yellow Hori Star Mario theme thumb grip. As the buttons are black it all goes well with a black comfort grip to, if you like to use them.
I will add the Hori Luigi thumb grip and green strap/attachment to the green joy con.
The pink one I will get the pink strap/attachment and a plain yellow thumb grip to make it look like a Peach controller.

I'd quite like them at £40 or £50 too. I paid £291 for my Odessy Switch Bundle, I would have quite liked that to have been more like £150, but then reality set in and I paid the £291.

I got myself an extra set of Joy-Cons, and now I can play 4 player Mario Kart. I think the Switch is the first time I've been able to justify getting enough controllers for 4 players to play local multiplayer, and that was just by buying one extra set of controllers.
I haven't set it up etc yet, waiting for the big day, but I have brought a JYS Wireless Pro Controller for around £16 as might need more than the two the Joy Cons give if people pop over, anyone had any experience with these ?
It has HAD rumble though. And very accurate motion controls.
Nintendo hardware is never allegedly sold at a loss. Microsoft and Sony will subsidise hardware (also allegedly) to drive software sales.
No, it's not cheap for two controllers. But can you find it cheaper?
PS4 DS pads were regularly £40 and nobody (me included) thought much of it and paid up.

As previous comments said, there is a lot of quality put into these. Very much packed into something small.
It’s also worth noting, that they can be used as 2 controllers, which is more than impressive.
Yea it is expensive but you have to remember they are a business and they deserve to make a profit for something that has above than average manufactured cost. Otherwise there would be no consoles for us at all.

Yeah kind of but with rubber grips and joined together (like the one that comes with the switch but doesn’t have rubber)
