Worth considering an adapter - COOV N100. Bought one from Amazon a few weeks back and it works perfectly with most joypads. Using PS4 Dualshock and it has rumble support. Cost fifteen quid but apparently you can get them slightly cheaper on Ebay.

As pretty as it is, with no rumble support it can be annoying to use when trying to find secret stuff (certain games vibrate when you're near something etc )...

With that said - Zelda doesn't use Rumble support - so if you only intend to play games like that and maybe things like Mario Kart, then it's great! (edited)

Why aren't people happy with joycons? I have no problem using them and my hands aren't small.

Haven't used xbox controller yet but will try later. Rumble works on PS4 controller but not wireless as yet. Had to update firmware but that took seconds. Brilliant device - used it on Fifa, Mario Kart, Mario Odyssey and Zelda. Brilliant with Fifa - never scored so many goals against online opponents (sometimes double figures to nil), probably an unfair advantage. Hope that helps.

I'm using PS4 Dualshock but had to use the standard charging wire that came with the PS4. Apparently the firmware is meant to be updated for wireless to work.

These are so cheaply made. It's a false economy. You'll end up buying more and all along getting a crap product

The gf prefers playing on the tv rather than portable. This will make an excellent addition to my collection!

Edit: doesn't have motion or rumble support which can be essential for games like mario. Cancelled my order. (edited)

If it's just a controller your after for yourself or the kids or something to ad to your switch collection does the job. Plus at not to bad a price.

I suppose it depends on what you are used to. I find playing Fifa with the Joycons makes my hands ache. Dualshock is comfortable for me.
