sorted byI personally disagree, I ordered the jap version of this on the PS4 when it came out over there (in December 2014) and loved it.
The mash up with puyo puyo works incredibly well, there are multiple game modes and the multiplayer both local and online is a lot of fun. So in my opinion there is a lot of replay value.
Check out the videos online and you'll see this isn't a "mobile game"
I sold my ps4 a while ago and I've recently got a switch, I'll be picking this up so thanks op, heat added.
Compared to £20 for sonic forces, this is a cracking deal.
At least this is a good game!
I'd say £9.99 is the price I'd pay for a colourful Tetris game, definitely no more than that. You can play Tetris on many devices for free; you couldn't add enough features to make it worth £24.99 in my opinion.
Considering, yesterday for £5 more you could bag Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The day before that, you could get Sonic Forces for £5 less. This is an extremely poor price in comparison.
Switch with free Mario O
Xenoblade 29.99
Fifa 29.99
Joycon charging dock 15.00
Switch Messenger Bag 6.99
I like Nintendo, but they aren't half rip off merchants where games and accessories are concerned..... (edited)
It is like a low profile Switch advent calendar. Tomorrow Bomberman for £19.99
Played the demo, it's fun to pick up and play every so often, especially two player but I was shocked to see it at 34.99 on nintendo store. Wouldn't pay no more than 19.99 for this
1. Sonic Forces is absolute dross. In this day and age there is absolutely no reason to buy such a low quality game, regardless of price.
2. It isn't Tetris, it's Puyo Puyo Tetris and it's a phenomenal game and far superior to Sonic Forces.
That is all.
Square Enix should give Taito a nudge to release a new Puzzle Bobble / Bust-A-Move game for the Switch.
Would make an excellent addition to the eShop with a sensible price (£15). (edited)
Yeah, I was really tempted by Sonic at £20 even though I hadn't considered buying it before (go figure). I'm glad I managed to hold out, because it left me with enough cash to pick up Xenoblade yesterday. Heat added (but all my money is gone).
Putting aside what anyone should pay, I thought this is cheapest around by good distance so should be put into attention, can work as a stocking filler
I bet you've never even played Sonic Forces. Just another person who bases their opinions on reviews. Puyo Puyo Tetris can be tried for free via the demo.
The deal with Sonic regardless of your opinion to the game, at £20 it was cheaper than any other version of the game (hence a deal, in price). This is still more expensive than any other version of this game on any other console (hence not a deal). Simple really.
Edit: That and it's £25 for Tetris, which there's no sugar coating that. (edited)
I have. Didn't like it. Easy and dull.
Back to the usual point. You can't play the ps4 version on the switch. Or on the go.
So comparing across hardware isn't useful. Is there a PC version? If so, I bet it's cheaper on steam.
And it's not just Tetris.
If you don't like puzzle games, it's not for you. If you do, and want to play on the go, it's the best price yet...so therefore a deal.
Come ooooooon Zelda, Skyrim and Doom!
Money is all companies care about, or they're fundamentally flawed. That's why they exist; to make money and keep shareholders happy.
If other manufacturers could sustainably charge as much as Apple and Nintendo, they would. Are you naive enough to think that Sony, Microsoft, Samsung, etc are your friend, making products for your pleasure and profits are an afterthought? (edited)
Arguably you will get more from this than Sonic due to coop and online.
I did. Revolut didn't work for me which is why I resorted to the top up cards.
I kind of agree, and think I've seen the PS4 version for about a tenner a couple of times. Still I ordered this as will be a nice game to play with the missus, and I don't have additional controllers for the X1 or PS4 where as the Switch dual controllers are perfect for games like this.
Thanks OP, good enough price for me, heated. (edited)
All calm here!
Agreed 're sonic.. great price. And a good gift for the right gamers.
I picked up xenoblade chronicles 2 and this today... and got a five pound voucher, making those two £50.
Great game, but definitely overpriced.
Never said that and doesnt require an evaluation on what other companies charge and/or what they could charge if they wanted to. Obvious its all about making money.
Really simple and straightforward - there's profit margins and there's absurd profit margins. Nintendo and Apple qualify in the absurd. Kudos to them, they charge and a lot of us pay them unfortunately. Doesnt mean we have to like it
