This riles me about vegans - the incessant need to dictate what others …This riles me about vegans - the incessant need to dictate what others should eat

Only riles you up because deep down you know its wrong but like so many others still do eat meat and dairy. Facts are simple and out there for everyone to see. Animals feel love, happiness and pain. What gives us the right to kill them when there is more than enough alternatives. There is absolutely no humane way of killing an animal, its murdered purely so you enjoy a nice hamburger. People own pets, why is a cow or, chicken worth less than a cat or dog?
Its not just that tho, 7 billion people on the planet, over a billion starve and yet we create enough food for 15 billion, more than half of that food goes to animals purely to fatten them up and be killed.
Maybe us vegans do rile you up, the animals don't exactly get a voice so who else is gonna speak out for them.

Since going vegan in April, gotta say it would have been a bit boring without Linda McCartney products. Sausage rolls being a fav as they taste like the real thing to me.. I also love to have a pie now and then for a nice Sunday meal and Beef roast they do is perfect for roast dinners and will be what I have for Xmas dinner this year.
I'm not gonna pretend I don't miss meat, i love it, tastes good, but its not right for animals and its not for the planet and therefore its not right for us.

Look around at other countries food as eating frozen food all the time can't be good for you. A simple dinner would be buy some proper firm tofu from a proper Oriental supermarket and place between two plates to drain some water out...then dust in flour and fry in oil with soy sauce. Tasty evening meal with rice and some veggies.

Stay away from Linda McCartney beefburgers. They are absolutely revolting.

Homemade seitan is very easy too. Not for everyone as I've not seen any gluten free recipes.

Plenty of people that are vegetarian or vegan don't really care what other people eat. Why do you think the comments of some people speak for everyone that follows a certain dietary choice or lifestyle? Most likely there are some people that you know that are non-meat eaters but you have no idea because they've never mentioned it to you.

Heat added as there are quite a few Quorn products available in this offer as well as other Linda McCartney products.

I eat meat but could stop and might well do one day. I don't eat as much as most peeps do but a bacon sarnie is a bacon sarnie so that always pulls me back to meat

Bacon was about the only meat that didn't completely repulse me as a child but I've not even been tempted in going on 40 years. The best facon (Morningstar) was banned some years back as it contained GMO ingredients. However I just blitz the stuff available in the microwave until it's rock hard and it's good like that.

I can sort of accept vegan/vegetarian sausage because a case could be made for 'sausage' being the shape. But you can't have vegetarian scampi. For it to be scampi, it has to be filled with langoustine (Dublin Bay Prawns).

You're dead right. When we stop eating meat altogether neither myself or my husband will try to pressure or guilt trip anyone else to change their diet because I think that is wrong.

I thought they were horrible...Like cardboard with a slightly bitter off taste to them. Absolutely nothing like a real beef burger in taste or texture.

If anyone wants to make their own vegan sausage rolls you just need Lidl puff pastry and Linda McCartney sausages. They tasted like the real thing.
