    I bought my s8 a few weeks ago for £419 on amazon de warehouse so I cant use the samsung recycle thing unfortunately.

    For anyone that doesn't know, Revolut is a fee free (unless you're taking several hundreds per month out of an ATM) pre-paid credit card. It uses the live inter-bank rates, which are always much better than you can get at any exchange place (plus there's no commission). It can be used for online purchases, for taking money out at good rates while abroad and also for paying for things in shops and restaurants etc. I use mine all of the time. It's easy to top up via the app amd lock it down if your card is lost or stolen. You can exchange your GBP to any currency there amd then, or the app will just exchange it for you when you make a purchase in another currency (at the current, best rate). (edited)

    Always pay with a credit card when goods/services are between £100-£30,000 as it provides you with stronger financial protection should anything go wrong (compared to a debit card which operates under the voluntary chargeback scheme).

    The credit card provider is jointly liable so they have an interest in sorting things out. A debit card is your own money so only your interested really. Although you have some protection it's not anywhere near that of Section 75 (Consumer Credit Act) (edited)

    It was cheaper before Black Friday but still a good price. Just to warn everyone that I have two delivery for the S8+ on the same order that were stolen before it delivered to me. Once in the warehouse in Germany (Amazon Package sealed but phone box was tear opened and phone was missing) and the other time same situation with Amazon package opened. So I got two ripped phone box, 2 chargers and cables but no phone. They refused to do any investigation and closed my complaint case within 24 hours on a Sat evening. There is a serious operating issue in their process but they ignored it.

    My advice is to take a video while you open the Amazon Package and get the content out to make sure everything is okay. This is the only backup to protect yourself.

    AMEX did refund me the money which is good but all the trouble and time I spent on this case, I wish I never went through it.

    Remember if you pay in euros that your bank or credit card will probably charge a fee on top of the cost of the item

    American Express. Use a good service credit card, I am glad that I used a credit card for extra protection. But the stolen delivery was horrible. I never expected that as well.
