    Good price.

The 1TB is available for £205. Bear in mind though that the 1TB MX500 is available at Crucial for £234 uk.crucial.com/gbr…sd1 (edited)

Can this be used as a normal pc ssd

Yes, you should be able to use it in a desktop pc as long as you have a SATA port available on your motherboard (which is highly likely). You'll also want to check that you have a 2.5" bay in your case or get an inexpensive 3.5" to 2.5" caddy if you don't want to leave your SSD dangling inside your case.

Eh? Please backup with technical details/links? That scenario would render these useless as a storage medium.

    Only £38 more than I paid for a MX200 480 GB in 2016- I know why,but still I pray my SSDs won’t start failing.

I used to be happy to pay £1per mb for hard drives.

I just replaced my old Crucial M500 with the 1TB MX300, never had a single disk error or related fault in 5 years.

Good to see SSD's now coming down in price again, hopefully by spring / summer we'll be back to £35 drives

Is there much chance of ssds coming down even further coming into janruary? Or would it be wise to snatch this one now?

Yes, needs a sata3 motherboard connection to get the best speed, which all recent ones should have.

Same, and at the time I thought it was a lot for a hard drive (but I don't regret my purchase at all)

I left mine dangling. It still works. Very well. I can't verify if it is faster than the mx500 or an evo 850 but it was cheapest at the time of purchase.

Good if you cannot go nvme

nvme are known to overheat and thus throttle the speed to protect the drive

Yup SSDs do lose data if left unplugged for a long time. Normal flash usbs haven't seen this and I would say for most people this isn't something you would experience
