Morrison's are doing another of their bonus points offers on gift card purchases. Buy a £50 gift card from a choice of 8 retailers, including Amazon, Debenhams, John Lewis/Waitrose, M&S and 4 others I can't remember and get 6,250 points I.e. the normal 1,250 and 5,000 bonus points.

I assume as with previous offers, there is a maximum number of points you can earn.

Hi....be gentle with me this is my first comment! Just been to Morrisons and there were no posters or anything up about this offer. Went to customer services and they confirmed this offer is on ANY £50 voucher. I purchased John Lewis but needed to scan and pay for each voucher. I was told by the supervisor this was a security measure. Each of my receipts showed 1250 More Points and 5000 More points on products Total 6250 points.
Although I was told I could purchase as many vouchers and quality for the bonus points ,as previously mentioned by other members, the limit per month on the More card T&C is £100 earned per calendar month. (edited)

This was on last year, great if you’ve got a big purchase coming up.

Max you’re allowed to earn in points is £100 per month so in theory could buy £800 worth of gift cards

So had to wait until I went the next time before it would print the 2nd one. Has this been changed? And anyone know the expiry date of this?

Last time I did it on the £25 M&S ones, the next time I went in the till spit out all 5 I was due - the cashier couldn't believe it as he'd never seen a "jackpot" type payout like that before!

Apologies for the re post, I did a search before I posted and didn't find a post. I hope I have helped anyone who missed it first time round.
I have to say I shop in Morrisons at least twice a week and always check if there are any offers on gift vouchers and I've seen nothing advertising this deal until today when there was a notice over the gift vouchers.

Nothing to activate. Just take the gift cards to the till (make sure it is the £50 ones) and hand over your more card and your points should show on the receipt. I've never had a problem with these not bein added

Yes. I did last year during similar promo....bought £800 worth gift cards seperatly and bought 4K TV. It doesn't matter how many gift cards you use.

Update: Just spoken to Morrisons customer services as I wanted to buy some more cards soon....the offer is on till 30th January ! Points for cards bought at 10am already showing on my More card online account too! (edited)

Just bought the last 7 (on display, at least) £50 John Lewis vouchers from Morrisons Dover and used them to buy a £349 laptop that was cheaper by over £100 than anywhere else, anyway.

Prior to buying the gift cards, I phoned JL customer services and the woman I spoke to said she knew of someone who had applied 28 £50 cards.

Points showed up in my Morrisons account about an hour after I bought the cards.

    All done and dusted (edited)

The last day for earning the more points in this offer is 31/1/18 as far as I know.

But once you have earned them they remain on your card and will automatically print the next time you go shopping and present your card. They print in £5 vouchers and max of £50 per visit. The vouchers have an expiry 1 year after issue.

JL told me the price match will be paid back in JL vouchers if that helps?

I Did a price match - I just made sure that I paid the 'discount' in my card so that they refunded that back to my card.
I.e. the total amount was £1100 and the price match was down to £1000. So I paid £1000 in JL vouchers (from Morrison's!) And £100 on my credit card. The price match has already been refunded to my credit card. The benefit of that is that you also get section 75 protection from your credit card provider. (although not sure how it works with the refund).

Hmmmm did they not do the same offer £25 gift cards last year....?

Still a good offer if you were going to buy one anyway but £50 is a bit steep for me to buy just for the points.

There was a sign up in store above the gift card stand advertising it. I didn't bother taking a picture as I assumed the deal would already have been posted (I'm not normally first to find these things!). I'll see if I can dig out my receipt which shows the points...

John Lewis customer services told me this morning that there is no limit to the number of their gift cards you can use on a single purchase online or instore.

I have emailed Morrison's customer services and received the following reply:

"You are correct we are offering a Fantastic promotion which runs until 31st January '18. This promotion allows you to purchase £50 gift vouchers to be redeemed in Apple, Curry's, Halfords, Amazon, M & S, Debenhams, John Lewis/Waitrose and participating restaurants.

I understand you wish to purchase 12 gift vouchers, this won't be a problem. However to enable you to gain the maximum points, (as you're allowed to achieve 100.000 points per month) I would advise you to purchase six gift vouchers one week and then the remaining six the following week."

I have phoned Morrison's customer services to clarify why the split purchase was suggested, but the person I spoke to was as bemused about the suggestion as I was, as everything falls in the same month.

Obviously if you normally shop at Morrison’s anyway the number of vouchers may have to be reduced. That reply from Morrison’s customer services doesn’t make sense at all

It would be confusing if you also use the word "vouchers" to describe the "giftcards" being purchased.

The T&C stipulates a maximum of 100,000 points per month which in effect is £100 (16 x 6,250 points) worth of Morrisons "vouchers" received when purchasing £800 (16 x £50) worth of "giftcards".

However, when a similar offer was on for £25 giftcards (Nov 2016) I went for broke and purchased my cards over 2 visits and managed to get £200 worth of vouchers on one More card, but the vouchers were not printed out all in one go. I think 10 x £5 were printed out each time during subsequent visits. (edited)

I went to Bolton Morrison's yesterday asked about it at customer services as no posters or anything instore. The lady was very helpful as she hadn't heard about it. She called a ?manager who had the attitude that stunk. Told him about promotion said he knew nothing about it! Showed him this thread and he went right on one saying he was going to contact head office for them to contact ukhotdeals for wrong advertising etc. Definitely no promotion here. So turning to the nice lady I said well I will buy one voucher and see if it works and hey ho it did! The manager guy couldn't even look at me when he saw me few mins later 🤣 so bought them out of all their John Lewis vouchers but had to pay individually for them all

Just bought x7 & x8 £50 Amazon cards in addition to one that I purchased last week. Points not on the system yet, but showing on the receipt. So that's me at 100000 points for the month. We do have a second Morrisons card, but £100 towards XMAS 2018 shopping is now set aside which is a good head start.

Forgot to add, purchased at the normal till, staff member showed no objection and the till didn't' stop her from processing multiple cards.

Edit...and points now showing on the system. (edited)
