Anyone ever used dvd-maze.com?

Just a heads up to any newbie just joining up to HUKD, firstly welcome to our little community and secondly keep Whois.com on your homepage ready to use, just bung in the website address and when it comes up as unavailable, then click on whois and it will at least give you when the website was registered and the registrants details. From there you can determine if it looks a safe bet etc

I ordered from these also because it appeared in the google shopping search results I didnt Think anything of it until I checked my paypal and it was a personal PayPal account name and email address rather than the business name

as soon as I saw this it rang alarm bells, it also wouldn’t let me log into the account on the website so I reported them through PayPal as an authorised transaction, explained in the comments section That after purchasing it the email address was a personal rather than a company email and after searching I’ve found this to be a scam and would like a refund within less than 24hours PayPal refunded me x

Just looked up ‘their’address of 20-22 Wenlock Road and found this Company formations
You would have thought these fraudsters would have tried harder to hide the fact the website is a scam (edited)

I bought a PS4 game from that site a couple of days ago and I've just received a message from PayPal saying the purchase has been cancelled by the merchant and no money will be taken from my account.

if you ever check a websites contact details and its only an email address and not a contact number = 99% scam

Just to let you know Google Shopping is open to any Advertisers. There is a Google Trusted Store program in which you will see the Logo to represent that that merchant has qualified for the program.

So not all Advertisers in Google Shopping are "Google Trusted Stores". You would want to use the same due diligence with any online purchase.

YES
Report them directly to Google support.
Just takes a few minutes, if everyone else on this thread could also report them we might be able to stop others from being scammed.

hi guys just an update,
ive got in contact with pay pal and have opened a claim against the website i mentioned how alot of others have had similar experiences.
basically paypal reach out to the seller and ask for tracking details and order numbers etc if they dont respond or send false info then you get a full refund.
so hopefully ill be getting my money back in a couple of days!!!!

I did some research on that site yesterday and it had scam written all over it.

According to Whois.com website registered 8/12/17 with no registrant details.

Just read t@cs which basically covers them to advertise a game like red dead 2 at 24.99 ps4 shipping 3-5 days(a game that hasn't even got a release date and will be around £45-50)you pay for it at that price but then they can change that at any point AVOID AVOID

not yet! Have you? I contacted my bank and everything, they said the transaction is still pending but the moneys been taken out. I have to email pay pal and claim a dispute type thing? hoping to hear back from them by monday

Because I opted to pay via PayPal and only after I receive the product they cancelld the transaction.

I thought they were shady because if you look around literally every game they have listed is at 24.95. Suspicious.

Oh and I would also change your PayPal password too just incase there website stores any details as you payed via there site

If PayPal are being bombarded for refunds, I don’t know why they just don’t freeze the account?

Made an order about Thursday, even used a backup card because it seemed a bit too good to be true. I only used them because of the Google listing in the shopping tab. Should have researched a bit more at the time. I did a missing item claim on Saturday to cancel the order and have done an unauthorised purchase claim today calling them a scam and linking to here.

Those responsible are probably switching the paypal account on the website as the account my order went to is different to what was given above. Makes it more difficult for paypal to drop the hammer.

Same as above, I placed an order a few days ago. I suspected something wasn't quite right so fortunately I used the Pay After Delivery option on PayPal. After reading this I took a more thorough look at the site and it seems dodgy as hell. There isn't even a 'contact us' option. I've opened a claim now with PayPal to try and get the seller recognised as fraudulent although I fortunately have not lost any money.
