I feel like it's a different class of device. I haven't looked into it but I assume the battery on this lasts much longer, plus it's somewhat smaller and a lot cheaper.

The Pikachu one suffers from that old "upside down when open" fascia which always used to annoy me with macbooks til they finally sorted it out.

I bought the Black and Blue one last November; hinge is loose and "floppy" - apparently by design too! Tried to return it and buy a 3DS but was deemed not a fault.

I’d suggest picking up a New 3DS XL second hand for cheaper, got a limited edition one for £90. Better value in my opinion.

If you have the ability to follow instructions you can pick up a R4i Gold 3DS Plus copy cart and install a custom firmware for under £16.
