The new Switch box cover:

There's Monster Boy coming out later this year which is by different developers but it also has input and the blessings of the original creators of Wonder Boy. (edited)
Don't disagree it is expensive for what it is, but they are getting away the nostalgia factor with 1980's,1990's kids like me (or mugs like me) prepared to pay the price. At least with the physical you get some collectibles included and can sell the game on later. It may even retain some good value in future.
To be honest, isn't the digital price for WB3 a bit inflated too? Ducktales Remastered (digital only) on Wii U was what about £7 or something when it came out and is usually £4-5 these days. I know it is not anywhere near the "classic" that WB3 is or as good a game, but it does highlight the premium price.
God knows what we will have to pay when/if Alex Kidd in Miracle World gets updated. (edited)
Why? Owning a hard copy of a game is what many people want. When servers go down or you have no Internet connection is an issue for some. I wish hard copies existed for all games, so when one comes out it's great... We should not judge a game on file size anyway... Thats just idiotic to say a game should not be owned in physical format just because its a small file size
It’s asking for £15.99 on my Xbox one..
Dunno how he can own it for free? But this is a special edition on Switch also with extras, including the CD and strap. And it is physical of course All worth a bit extra I reckon, not that I have a XB anyway.
uh hu, but don't think I said it was updated just for Switch exclusively did I?

Don't think you can even get it for PC for that cheap! A physical Switch game for £7.99..... when is that ever going to happen?
That's correct That is what the deal is. It is not a pre-order for other formats as it has been out for ages on other formats. In fact it is not even new to Switch as most know has been available digital for a while now, and physical JPN/USA versions have been available from Euro retailers for ages.
The Switch EURO version is also the only one to have been released as a special edition with extra stuff too. (edited)
True. I meant a remaster of this game should be going for £8 at best. Nintendo tax + cartridge price bumps that up a bit.
Plenty of decent titles have been had on eShop for good money. NBA Playgrounds set me back £9 and Rocketleague was about £11. Cant remember how much Overcooked was, but it was cheap.
This is v v expensive...
I feel others would read that and believe as such.
So my comment was an effort to save misinformation
2. This is a special edition with collectibles such as the strap and CD.
3. You get to own a physical copy which has more tangible value, and can be resold or exchanged if desired (unlike a digital copy).
4. Many of us prefer physical versions of games!
For just under a tenner extra considering you get extras and a cartridge to collect, it could be argued just as much if not more that it is the eShop price that is the biggest rip off.
We shall have to disagree.
Point 1...your splitting hairs. It's 14.73 on the Norway eshop.
Point 2...a strap and a cd? Wow
Point 3....fair comment, but at this price difference not worth it.
The game can be completed in less than 5 hours. It's a nice remake but a very basic game by today's standards. Not sure why anyone would pay this price.
