sorted byAs far as I’m aware, the story is slightly different, and there’s far more to do in the endgame (altered “Formes”, new Pokemon etc) I had moon but didn’t play it so I can’t say how different it is, enjoying this new one but I do miss the old gym set up. Seems much harder than previous iterations, and I have a fairly decent team!
On a side note, if anyone wants any of the hard to get legendaries (manaphy, victini etc) let me know and I can trade you

My son says they are almost the same.
Most of it is exactly the same. There are some new additions which are mantine surfing, an add on to the story mode similarly to the delta episode in omega ruby/alpha sapphire, the battle agency in the festival plaza where you battle with rented pokemon for festival coins, and finally most legendary pokemon are included within the 2 games as well as a couple of new ultra beasts and necrozma forms shown on the front. The main story is also a little different towards the end. I can see how some people wouldn't be bothered getting it over sun and moon, but overall it's an improvement (albeit would technically be more suited as DLC, but that's not really new to the series.
I was happier, I managed to get a charmander / squirtle in this one using island scan. That was enough to make me play it
As far as I know, it just comes in a steelbook case and maybe comes with a pin badge/coin? Nothing different about the game itself
