sorted byNice find Chanchi, when I have caught up with the rest of my gaming purchases, maybe a switch will be on the cards.
Heat added. Cracking game on Switch.
Same. If they had Mario, splatoon or Zelda I'd definitely be tempted. Just waiting for the right deal.
You do realise that you have to pay for marketing costs with every product you buy, don’ t you? You also haven’t factored in the cost of the Joycons and their tech, plus the screen costs (not included in a Shield TV).
Armchair manufacturers are rife in this thread it seems...
Switch costs about £221.43 at the current exchange rate for the hardware alone. gamerant.com/nin…st/
That doesn’t include the other costs like marketing and distribution either. (edited)
How dare you apply logic and common sense to this discussion...
Screens aren't cheap. R&D isn't cheap. The accelerometers in the joy-cons aren't cheap. Yes Nintendo are one of the rare examples where they're making a small profit on the hardware in the console world but I'd hardly call it a "Nintendo tax"
depends what screen are you talking about..high quality, high resolution OLED screen with gorilla glass? sure.. high quality LCD screen with high resolution and top specs? absolutely..
but plastic, low resolution budget LCD screen used is Switch? cheap as chips.
don't get me wrong I own a Switch and love the exclusives but there is no mistaking,Switch is crazy over-priced..and there is definitely Nintendo tax to play their games.overpriced poor hardware, great software.that's it.
Seconded, £200 of hardware (as proven by similar devices like the Shield TV) with an £80 Nintendo tax slapped on top. Plus Nintendo games hardly ever dip below the £40 mark and I'm not counting 1 2 Switch as that is a throwaway game and should have been a day one pack in anyway....
Switch + Zelda now £289 at Tesco.
Thank you
You have to pay Nintendo tax if you want to play Nintendo exclusives. The hardware is basically modified nvidia shield with smaller and lower resolution screen.
An excellent portable console with some great party games. Take it to work daily, took it to a mates over the weekend for a few beers and some excellent, yet extremely frustrating couch games (no matter how hard we try we could not manage a single 3-star completion in Overcooked). It definitely fills the gap between the 3DS/Vita and standard consoles.
That's before we even mention the Nintendo exclusives - even Rabbids is a great game, challenging, entertaining and really well designed.
You won't be disappointed...
We got this before Christmas and basically if you start adding other games in seems to discount them automatically. Zelda is wonderful but you'll probably want Mario Karts or Odyssey too.
Tesco Direct has great customer service.
I’ve milked them for bundles!
However, the following is true: Look after the customers, and the business will look after itself.
I have no hesitation when shopping with Tesco Direct ...
Fair play to them!
