They have the Neon with a selected game (Mario Kart, Zelda or Rabbids) for £289 using same code, after all - you're going to need a game. Just alternatives.

By the way, I haven't voted cold (I don't vote cold ). I just think the Tesco deal is the better option in the grey variant, and the Neon offer is good, too.

Nintendo are selling these as fast as they can make them. There is no pressure to reduce the price so anything off RRP right now is a decent deal.

Not relevant, I don't care about the popularity or scarcity of the product, those external factors shouldn't come into it, it's all about the money saved (or lack of here) I don't rate overpriced GPU deals hot just because they have become rarer for example, and I won't extend the Switch the same favour, not that I believe it is in any way rare or scarce, Nintendo simply like to drip feed stock to create that illusion. Anyway, if it's not a significant saving over RRP it isn't a hot deal, simple as IMHO... (edited)
You could also say the RRP is not relevant. If you had a hugely inflated RRP, with 50% off, but which still made a product expensive for what it is, would you buy it?!
