Accidentally discovered these through social media, and they look AWESOME.

I understand it’s £5 more than the other ones and this will probably go cold, but these are new(er) designs with a bigger range and I figured at least one person may be interested

Also, apparently these ones are better as they have more weight added to them and better analogy sticks, so these are newer versions (as such) rather than just new designs.

These do not have rumble or NFC or gyroscope

I like wired pads, you don't have to keep charging them. Thankfully, I doubt these have motion or rumble though, so I don't have to decided if I could put up with using a pad that garish.

Super cool but really shouldn't be wired. At least on the Wii/Wii U you could plug them into the Wii Remotes... (edited)

although on a side note - why have they made a splatoon controller? it’s the one game IIRC you can’t play on these due to the lack of gyro!

If these weren’t wired id be all over them. But my dock is positioned behind the tv so these are more or less useless to me.

If they’re like the other ones the wire is super long.

Think the donkey king is my favourite.

I don’t believe wired pads are viable for most people and especially not for a tiny console like the Switch. Pretty but ultimately useless. Cold.

I picked up the Donkey Kong one and it is very nice. This new set is more refined than the original Zelda and Mario ones including better analogy sticks and more weight to the controller. A very good buy and it will take a beating when Smash comes out later this year.

    No need, I'll tell you:

These do not have rumble, NFC or gyro.

I’ve got the MK1 Mario pad and it’s a great alternative to remortgaging your house for the pro controller. Yes it is missing gyro and rumble, but to be fair that’s not remotely a problem IMHO. well worth picking up. Have some heat!

Similar to Zelda really for some of the shrines

At least with the Splatoon version they bothered to change the analogue thumbsticks to pink.

All the others are boring standard black

You can play Splatoon with thumb sticks, it’s just that most people who buy a Splatoon specific controller buy it for the gyro. I play a lot of Splatoon both motion controlled and not but would totally recommend the extra for the pro for Splatoon.

If motion, wireless and rumble are must-have features, consider the SF30 pro from 8bitdo. You can get them at this price delivered from Aliexpress.

Granted, rumble isn't amazing (it's improved with firmware updates), but it's a decent pad for the money IMO and feels really decent in terms of quality.

They should atleast have rumble. You can strip away as much tech as you want to save cost but rumble is part of gaming now and to play without it is not an option for me.

(Not sure why this page won't save the edited comments!)

I realised that these were upgraded, I believe my friend's complaint with them was the smushy-ness of the buttons, if that was fixed too, then these are the perfect co-op couch controller, especially when your alternatives are a Pro Controller (£50+) or an 8Bitdo (£30-40).
  21. coffeehair's avatar
Well I have the original Zelda black wired controller which is OK, but I got it for a tenner on eBay. I have to say that new Zelda one is fuuuuugly and I'd never drop £25 on it!

Good deal. Call me old fashioned but I much prefer wired pads. I quite like the Yoshi and splatoon ones but over all not that keen on the whole 'character art on just one grip' type look. I've still not got a Switch yet anyway. Waiting on a limited edition console bundle that I'd like... that and Metroid Prime 4. (edited)

I wish these were basically the Pro Controller. The designs and colours are great. Bowser, DK and Yoshi standing out for me.

    @Mechtup Love all of them

Same here it’s a shame I have two pro controllers and next to never play multiplayer so there’d be no use in me getting another one just for the design (like I did with the second pro controller!)
