Shopto have just dropped the price of the X down by £50, and when combined with the Spanish discount, this makes the console a great price.
Method:
1. Login to ebay.co.uk and above left click on account settings.
2. In the account settings click on ebay account and then on addresses.
3. Change registration address to any Spanish address
4. On the app, change the co.uk address to the equivalent .es version.
5. Ad item to basket
6. Use coupon code PASCUA10 in shopping cart
7. Pay using Paypal

Just thought I'd counter the balanced, well thought out, well written point, with one of my own :-p
So what I did, I bought Tv and xbox one x (you can buy it even in another store) they are on separate receipt. Next day return TV and in this way you a have xbox one x 100 pound less,
You’re still paying VAT in an EU country right? ;-)

I agree 100% that there is definitely a risk that ebay may not look kindly at ebay buyers abusing the offer by switching countries to benefit from it.
However I don't agree with the scaremongering by posting ebay warnings intended for ebay sellers regarding criminal prosecutions if they tried to evade VAT.

So there was an option to switch to desktop view - I switched to desktop view and changed my registration address to a random Spanish one off of google. Once I did this I loaded the Xbox one X page and changed .co.uk to .es and then added the item to basked. I then loaded my eBay app and changed the settings from auto detect to Spain. Once I did this I went to my basked then applied the code that @reindeer333 mentions and then paid £359 GBP. Paypal shows it as £399 with £40 discount but my bank shows £359 (edited)
Mine was the 'elite' version (without the elite controller) and I got 160 for it as it was in super good condition. You could probably get around £120 if it's boxed with a controller, just make sure to give it a clean up, take plenty of photos in good lighting and if possible list it during one of the 'Max £1 Fees' events to maximise how much you keep from the sale, otherwise eBay will take 10% of the sale amount (and PayPal also take around 4% if they pay by credit card I believe). If you don't list it on a 'Max £1 Fees' event just bump the price up by £10-15 and see if it sells. Failing that you can run an auction and set a reserve so that it won't sell below the price you want. Hope some of that helps
Got a notification that it was shipped from Reading. Also the order was in GBP rather than EURO. I think the whole point of country change is about getting the voucher, not the actual order. Even the shop to receipt says the order was for £399.99
I've just seen a heads up that there will be a £1 Fees only event on ebay on the 30th, so if you list it on that day you'll only have to pay £1 selling fees maximum

What did you do then? I went to eBay uk website, (not mobile) changed all the stuff, went to app and tried to find the shopto deal but couldn't as it was now saying everything in Euro so went back to the website and added to basket there then back on the app it said code not working. 😧

How much did you sell your Xbox one for? Rather how to make best money out of selling it. I have a day one edition of Xbox one and few old games on disks .
Don't be silly, the delivery/destination address for the goods are in the UK and the supplier is in the UK so 20% UK vat is charged.
If it is was based on the billing address alone then everyone will ask their non-EU relatives to purchase items on their behalf on eBay UK to be sent to their UK address!
The warning you quoted relates to the Seller falsifying their country e.g they might pretend to be outside the EU and not register for VAT in any EU country. (edited)
Can't see how posing the question was silly,it was mentioned on the other thread too.Good luck to anyone "changing" their address overseas for ten minutes to get the discount but there must be a risk involved,hence the ebay warning.How big that risk is no one knows but if you value your ebay account some caution should be exercised IMO.
Thanks for those tips. I have a kinect too, would that be worth keeping in case the adaptos somehow deep in price and become available for Xbox one X?
I'm honestly not too sure on the Kinect as I haven't had one, but the more things you can bundle in to the ebay listing the better! If you still want to use your kinect you can buy an adapter to use it on the Xbox One X I believe. So unless you want to use it I would sell it with the old Xbox One
This, i grabbed a XBX for £370 new/other from Ebay Currys because the box was slightly damaged but the XBX was in perfect condition, new and warrented for 2 years, so yeah keep a eye on ebay as well for a good XBX bargain. (edited)

No, the 1st one I got, the project Scorpio edition failed after 10 days. The 2nd regular One X died after around 10 weeks.
