The point of the post is registering if you own the games anyway. It’s £4.25 for something which probably took seconds (edited)

No, you are misunderstanding. It's a simple reward programme (1% back on physical games), limited to once per cartridge. All it means if you buy second-hand games you won't get 1% back as eshop credit but you can still play the game like normal

Could you just have a high package on Boomerangs Rentals with multiple discs and rinse and repeat or does it work once per disc? (edited)

Not sure your negative post was worth the time....given I just saved £5 on crypt of the necromancer for 2 minutes work, I'd say worth it

Nah it's a one time use thing. I was lucky enough to get an unredeemed copy of Lego Marvel Superheroes once

Surely if you are moaning about paying £40 you'd welcome getting something back, even if it was just 20p.. it took me like 1 minute to redeem all my games (over 10). If time is so valuable to you, think you need to get off this site.. (edited)

Yes there is zero chance Nintendo would implement tying games to only one account this generation. In the USA you can only register a physical game for one year from release, so you can no longer register Zelda even if it is a brand new copy.

This is purely a programme to reward people for buying games and replaces a loyalty system that originally launched in 2002.

Nintendo would prefer you to buy digital copies direct which is why they offer 5 times higher reward for that, but this is purely a carrot system. As correctly pointed out the Microsoft Xbox One reveal fiasco showed that consumers are strongly against tying physical games to a single console. Even though Microsoft swiftly backtracked before the X1 even launched it created lasting damage.

Probably because you only bought one copy of the game.
If you want more points, buy multiple copies of the game

After a certain amount of time since redeeming points they begin to expire so you have to spend them or lose them. This was my biggest loss so far

The penny just dropped reading your comment , I did use some gold points against the purchase.
So when it says earn up to 200 points that is if you pay £39.99, if you use gold points against the purchase it must reflect on your reward

Yep - it's 5% of what you actually pay, after any promotional discounts/sales or use of gold points.

    Yeah it's definitely not lol

how is it not? it literally takes seconds. I've got 7 quid back so far which will go towards an expansion pass quite nicely, if Nintendo didn't do anything no one would really mention anything. it's only when they offer a service people go mad about it. If I'm not mistaken Game in the UK offers a similar service of 1% back so what's the difference?

People just like to moan constantly about something that costs nothing.

And "again" is obviously in reference to nintendo re-releasing wii u games at full price yet again for the sad nintendo fans that accept it and lap it up.

In my world? No. On hukd, maybe, we're stretching comparatives here. Again, pointless. The majority of freebies require something paid for, thats what im saying. Pointless argument.

If its not pointless to you, then I do hope your pushing your point on all applicable freebies. Otherwise ask yourself why here and nowhere else?

Fanboy? I wouldn t even wish I had time for that nonsense, nintendo, xbox, ps, really couldnt give a rats arse about whose better, if "I" enjoy something thats all that matters.
