I heard the game performance was not as good when it was released but throughout the year the updates and new features and characters that were added to game helped improve it a lot. I've got the PS4 version on preorder myself, but this seems to be the cheapest a physical version has gone on the Switch so far.

From IGN:

"The new "Grand Prix" is a 3-vs-3 mode which has been designed specifically with future eSports in mind; it features a "Basic Bomber" mode that operates under usual Bomberman rules, as well as a "Crystal Match" which sees teams fighting to collect the most crystals while dodging bombs.


The free pack also adds a new world - World 7 - to Story Mode, as well as a selection of new stages and accessories.

The DLC pack also adds a full nine characters to the game, drawing from various Konami franchises:

    You might be thinking of the upcoming PS4/XB1 ports, Super Bomberman R: Shiny Edition. It's not exactly a GOTYE though, it includes some of the DLC and features from the Switch original and has exclusive characters for each platform.

    Got this recently from a similar priced deal here and worth every penny - read loads of negative stuff but when I played it loads of the stuff mentioned had been addressed - this is a perfect game for switch in handheld.

    Loads to do and it’s classic bomberman.

    It's alright. It's not up there with the likes of Saturn Bomberman, but it's decent enough.

    If Konami improve anything, I have to assume it was accidental, they really are a flock of drongos.

    I am in the market for the prices mate. I assure you even Switch games are gradually losing value and are being released at lower RRPs. They are however, still more expensive than other consoles due to costs of production and political reasons. But the majority of them do drop in price, that is for sure. The few exceptional ones that hold their prices are some examples you may find for other consoles too.

    Let's e logical not irrelevant. We are talking about Super Bomberan R here and the reason it has not dropped further. Not about Konami or MGS. I just expressed my opinion for why this has not dropped further yet, you have a better one, please do say it but don't go off topic...

    You misunderstood me. I did not praise anyone at all. I mentioned the game was improved, and I could not address anyone except Konami. Well, who else would've agreed for further patches to add content?
