Oh, the hilarity that would ensue if I took anything to work with Fatmax written on it.

Hubby got a plastic box from Screwfix like this but smaller, cost him 49p (thanks to Hotdeals). He says all he's done is used it for a few screws (getting worried about him)., but it's still just a so**ing plastic box. Emperor's new clothes spring to mind.#
I despair - men and their tools. If I paid that much for a plastic box to keep my sewing stuff in he'd go mad. (edited)

We just can’t win. We fiddle with our tools and get told off. So we tinker with a box, and still get told off...

Yep....but it's bloody annoying that you generally can't get something of this quality for much less money!

It looks like there's options....and maybe for home light use DIY they might be ok.... But from experience....being in a house with one of the cheaper boxes that decides to fall to pieces on you and proceeds to launch your screws (or whatever it is you have stored inside) across the floor... you'll look back and think...."ffs....why did I buy this cheaper one"

Especially if used for pipework fittings etc which can have fair bit more weight behind them.

Anyone saying its just a box then lol at the alternatives for carrying fittings etc in storage containers that are organised. It's a expensive exercise

They are very sturdy boxes that can take a lot of weight. Mine must have 10KG of screws in each one and they get lumped about and haven’t cracked or split like many of the cheap trade cases that sometimes come with screw sets. The compartments are also removable so you can take a tub of one certain screw to your work area rather than lumping the whole case up some ladders. The clips on the side of the box interlock with other boxes. Easily worth £10 each. If you’re buying boxes for 50p it’s a false economy because they won’t last 5 minutes and they’ll be going to landfill which isn’t very environmentally friendly, is it??? (edited)

    Hahahahahaha, couldn't agree more!.

But to be fair, it's like women and their perfume, and/or women and their make-up, etc?.

Women can easily sink £100's into either/both and think nowt of it too!.

But if a man spends £70 on an electric razor, and/or £40 on an electric toothbrush, then ...

(Let's just say something along the lines of "Woe betide him" will quite literally be the LEAST of his worries from him woman?).

There's neither equality, and/or common sense when it comes to both Gender's spending power the way I see it ...

you guys must be comparing the old boxes. these new ones in particular are absolutely rubbish compared to what they used to be. latches are now plastic which are tough to operate (an impossible task if you have arthritis) and the lid hinges break very soon once you have the case filled. looks tougher than what it actually is

Oh yes because the world works by charging based on the cost of raw materials! Common guys this is worth £9.99 if it provides that or more value to you.

Good quality, durable and useful. Imho seems good value £10 but yes usual £20 would be to steep for me

    Amazing boxes screw organisers.

I’ve got 4 deep and 5 shallow. All full of stuff. Easily stackable and as long as the weight is manageable you can stack as many as you want and carry with 1 hand.

I even use them to stand on, they are by far the best organisers around.

    Good find OP Thanx

Wtf are you commenting on these for, you clearly have no need for these and I presume do not know which end of a screwdriver to hold and as for your second post about so much crap in the seas, the reason these are worth the money is they last. Buy once and buy right. Cases and toolboxes take serious punishment and the most annoying thing is a cheap ass case busting it's guts everywhere in the van last thing on a Friday.
