Why are the press so focused on United's lack or transfer business?. I know we're popular but what about Spurs lack of transfers or Newcastle etc.. it's rather unfair and pressure is on. Personally I'm pleased we haven't signed any oaps. The transfer market is ridiculous why would anyone pay £71m for a keeper?. The next keeper will probably be £100m it's madness. Maguire £60m that's more than fair but still ridiculous too. I think Leicester will regret not accepting that offer. (edited)

Whilst I'm looking over my shoulder they're behind me so that's ok. Sadly though I think we'll finish much lower. Mourinho will be gone before Xmas.

IMO there's nothing wrong with United's squad IF they're allowed to play the "united way". They would in all probability finished 2nd last season to MC anyway (no disgrace in that), but why wait till you're a goal or 2 down before turning on the style? Or go a goal up and then try to defend the lead for 3/4 of the game with the attacking talent they have. (edited)

    Kepa Arrizabalaga 71 million

Courtois said to have gone for less than half that, not great business in my eyes.

    Sky pundits strike again.

Merson “have to applaud what spurs have done” kept hold of players and Dembélé is a good as anyone.

“United lack of activity is really extraordinary”

    63m on a Brazilian CM.

jose is a grumpy sod and all the pundits have lapped it up.

Bailly, Rojo, Lindeof, Smalling, Jones... that’s not a terrible set of CBs.... at all.

2nd in league and all pundits on sky have them best placed 4th and most have them out of top 4.

Fat Sam hammering Utd for “being fooled” by An agent.....

he is a parody now he really is.

Phil Thompson delighted with Liverpool and questions how other certain teams have been “caught” out.

i get the feeling José has played a mind game and people have written him and Utd off completely.

Kloop on the other hand it’s his year...

i cant look futher than City myself. The rest is impossible to call in my eyes. (edited)

It is all about the remaining term left on their current contract. Chelsea's biggest failure is their ongoing contract management. Woeful.

I had hoped that he would put all the nonsense behind him and bed down at a great club where he could become a legend. Not to be.

Manchester United need to get rid of Jose, he is just so depressing and negative, its not normal for a manager to openly criticise his players... Fergie did it the correct way, behind closed doors in the locker room. They should go for simeone imo.

“Coming home,” you say? Interesting, as the only time the Prem trophy has paid a visit to Anfield was when it was presented to Blackburn Rovers in 1995!

    Oh, Old Trafford. Nice one.

Not quite, I want the prem to be the best league in the world and that needs about 6 or 7 genuine title contenders... I see man utd and it's not the same since fergie left, will they ever hit them heights again?

Whilst Jose is at United I don't see it, they were the luckiest team last year (espn stats) with Liverpool the most unlucky... and still man utd finished so far behind city.

I don't want city or Chelsea to win anything as they were mid table teams at best before been taken over by some of the richest ppl alive.

Man u spurs arsenal & lfc I'm all for.

I don't buy into the luck thing ;). It's a game of luck and chance. I think maybe LFC attacked too much and had a crap keeper and not so good defence.

    Agree.

i don’t approve of Jose and his playing style but let’s not kid ourselves.

If united had of signed Maguire/Boateng....

its not the difference... to me it’s no difference.

The transfer policy since fergie has left is swap one player for a similar standard often.

Media are crackers.... they sell Evans and it’s not a story and then they are linked to buy him back and he would make all the difference... nonsense.

    The squad is fine.

Bit like the Grealish drama and so many “sky sources” moves that never happened - most aren’t even close to being true and the player isn’t agitating a move...

Today was a non starter for big moves.

I guess Fulham and Everton fans are happy...

Everton needed a striker though no?

Merse has released his transfer grades...

apart from spurs who he has now expelled... after praising earlier (been drinking???)
City and Utd both get a C??? The lowest two.

    ha.
