Longbridge waste of time. Turned up at 11.15 and all gone. No sign of any wand demonstrations either. First time you've let me down Smyths, not impressed! 👎

Waste of time at Chelmsford, all gone in less than 10 minutes, no wand demos, nothing but a draw to enter, lots of unhappy kids.

I suspect it'll be a mini Hogwarts Express. They recently gave this kit away at a USA Barnes & Noble event. It's the same mini train from the Harry Potter LEGO Dimensions kit

all gone at Kilmarnock by 11.30 too, quite disappointing as my kid was behind the kid who got the last one

Well that was underwhelming. All gone by 11am and just a bloke with a small table looking miserable.

We arrived at the Fareham store at 11:14 to find the giveaways all gone and three staff milling about in themed scarves... that was it. Not so much an event as a complete anti-climax!

I don't think they've done themselves any favours - probably more harm than good. No wonder people are doing more shopping online when shops pull tricks like this. I'm not naive to think that they were running this promotion out of the goodness of their hearts - it was obviously a ploy to get people in to part with their cash but I watched lots of them walking out in disgust with little kids all dressed up in their Hogwarts robes in floods of tears. I overheard a woman ahead of us in the queue telling staff they had travelled from Bridlington which is almost 30 miles away.

Or do they want you to sign up to things?

Got some toys to pick up might as well go on that date as well.

Yep, would be good if Smyths were giving those out free! The polybag looks great though as well

They will prioritise kids if you stand near the giveaway area but if you ask nicely they’ll give you one. Worked for me for the Jurassic World giveaway
