Works fine for standard bt/plusnet/vodafone/sky boardband
if you have cable such as virgin, a cable/wifi router is sensible option.
If you have full fibre (FTTP) such as hyperoptic/gigaclear/bt infinity 4 then a wifi/cable router is the correct option
