I hate these select seller deals, most of them crafty baskets increase the price beforehand, I wish they would do the all sellers offer more often, where you can buy of anyone and still get a discount!

Oh well, let's see what reduced stuff I can buy which I don't really need lol

    Or £2920 as it's £80 max discount

Haha absolute waste of time these deals, no idea why it gets so hot. The only good ones are the site wide ones. These sellers just increase their prices and get free advertsing.

I think they list things at a ridiculously high price when they have low/no stock, then drop it again once new stock comes in.

Maybe this saves on relisting the items.

Just watched a Musicmagpie price jump special this morning. What a waste of time.

the reason it's a select few sellers is because ebay employ a 3rd party to call sellers,

and say we want to promote your listings all you have to do is drop your price by 20%,

as you can imagine not very many sellers go for that offer,

ebay still charge the same fees.
  21. Hotmeal's avatar
And with a flick of a switch, all aforementioned sellers add 15% onto their costs, but hey, you're getting that 5% cheaper, yo!

This world is a twisted place. Shut up and take my money. (edited)
  22. golfie's avatar
EBay will never get my money again. What a rip . Charged me £18.50 on the£1 listing day because I ticked a reserve price. That's 1850% increase without me knowing.when I rang to complain they aren't interested and said I should've read the terms.
  23. Begize's avatar
Yet another fake eBay sale where the prices go up before hand.

HKUD really should stop pinning these posts and drawing attention to them,

The fact these deals are becoming more frequent shows just how much ebay has changed.
In its original format it was very much private sellers and where you could get a genuine bargain.
These days there are far fewer items for sale from private sales and its just taken up by lots of tat and overpriced stuff.
Private sellers having to cope with 20% fees have just left.

Sad to say i think ebay has been dying for a while.

Nope, because the maximum discount is £80. £650-80=£570.
In theory, it would have actually being better to buy a few days ago with the 15% PREP15 Discount (£75 max) + 5% ebay cashback on TCB). 32.50+75 = £107.50+£3 Bonus = £110.50. (edited)
