About this deal

amazon.co.uk/gp/…370

Share Prime benefits such as Prime delivery and Video by adding a "family member" under the Amazon Household.

My wife piggybacks off her sisters prime. Two separate amazon accounts with different payment methods and different delivery addresses but only one (the sister in law in my case) pays for the Prime membership.

Sharing benefits with Amazon Household requires both adults to link their accounts in an Amazon Household and agree to share payment methods. Each adult keeps his or her personal account while sharing benefits at no additional cost. To set up an Amazon Household, go to the Amazon Householdmain page.

Prime benefits that can be shared with the other adult in your Amazon Household include:

Delivery Benefits

  • Prime Delivery
  • Prime Now
  • AmazonFresh grocery delivery (if the Prime member has the Fresh Add-On)

Digital Benefits

  • Prime Video (streaming only)
  • Prime Reading

Discounts and Exclusives
  • Prime Wardrobe
  • Prime Early Access
  • Prime-Exclusive items
  • Prime Live Events, Premium Seating, and Pre-Sale tickets on tickets.amazon.co.uk (Note that these tickets are exclusively available to paid Prime members).
  • Prime-exclusive pricing on Amazon Music Unlimited and Kindle Fire for Kids Unlimited subscriptions.
  • 20% off nappies subscriptions, compliments of Amazon Family.
The following Prime Benefit can be shared with any family member, subject to age restrictions:

Twitch Prime: Twitch Prime is a set of Amazon Prime benefits created for gamers. Prime and Prime Student members can share the on-Twitch benefits of Twitch Prime. Members can link up to four Twitch accounts to enjoy ad-free Twitch viewing and exclusive chat icons. Twitch Prime also includes access to games, in-game loot, and a channel subscription at no additional cost for the first user under the shared account who accesses each benefit. To link up to four Twitch accounts with your Amazon Prime or Prime Student account, visit Twitch Prime .

Note:

  • Prime Music and Prime Video Channels content are not sharable.
  • For more details about Prime benefits, go to About Amazon Prime
    • Student members can't share Prime benefits through Amazon Household, and customers receiving their delivery benefits from another Prime member can't share their benefits
    • Prime benefits can't be shared with child profiles from Fire for Kids Unlimited.

Sorry if this has already been posted (I did a quick search but couldn't see one).

You'll see in the comments that this changed and people could see payment details. Glad to hear they have changed it back, although it was always two emails and login details on two separate accounts. The only thing in common was they payment which could be seen in your wallet.

Word of warning though, appears that Alexa is also linked via prime when you do this, not good when your EX gets a call history log with your new partner on their alexa.

This was accidentally bumped by hotukdeals staff a few days ago. Once it was bumped, we couldn't undo it.
It is not the fault of that this happened, so he's taking a very unfair hit from some members in this thread.
I've tidied it up now, and please only comment if you have anything to say regarding this deal. If you have any other issues regarding this thread please can you message Admin, using the Contact link, at the foot of the page.
    Thank you

    - sorry if I am being thick. I have never bothered doing this - if I add my wife’s details, can she order (inadvertently or knowingly!!) off my payment card linked to my prime account? I don’t want her taking the pee!!

Thanks in advance and thanks for sticking around to answer questions on this topic given the post is now a few years old!

Hi. This wasn't the case when the deal was posted but by there are reports that it is now, so yes, she could use your card ro pay but you could also use hers. Some have said they didn't need to or have been able to remove this.

Right? Aaaaand you can actually have all the different payment cards registered too. I dunno why I have to set up a household when the thing works the same without it.

Is it, how? Did you somehow avoid the annual £79 fee for having it? If you did avoid it, we'd all love to know how?

I do this this with the mother-in-law and split the yearly sub 50/50. It's a nice little benefit. Just be careful when you deactivate the family link you cannot re-link another account for 180 days! (or 6 months)

I'm guessing it's the old month trial and 12 email accounts (or 12 variations of a gmail account) trick.

Because that is how ridiculous this deal is.I swear some of the people who use this site are utterly stupid.

Since you've never shared a deal, I suggest you give it a go.
  26. 89quidyoucantgowrong's avatar
Yep, you have to accept that both users have access to all of the saved payment cards. So you have to be sharing with someone you trust.

One payer for the prime membership but not for the orders. You can order from two separate accounts using separate (and not shared) payment methods.
