Thanks for letting me know. That's one of the reasons why I'm getting one. My food gets a lot of freezer burn. I end up chucking it out. I also want one for sous vide too.

I have this and read the manual. Mistake. Push the plastic until it touches the pipe that sucks out the air. Use considerable force pushing lid down until it clicks each side.

    Lidl works out cheaper. You get 2 × 3M rolls for £3.99. That's the 28cm. You get 3 × 3M rolls of the 20cm ones for £3.99.

Sorry to bother you but to ask a really stupid question...do you have any idea if Lidl Deliver? Have looked at their website but can't find anything about Home Delivery so guessing probably not but thought I may as well ask someone that shops there. Would really like one of these but my nearest Lidl store is about 200 miles away by sea so not really a viable option

Thank you so much for replying and your help as it is really very much appreciated. The Shetland Islands....still part of the UK albeit the most northerly part

Got of a long way to go for a piece of kitchen equipment. I went on their spares site to ski if they sold them on there but they only sell the bags. I've been to shetland. I love shetland.

ah didn't realise Orkney had Lidl...Thought our nearest one was Aberdeen...mind you still a bit far to go on the boat just to get a vacuum sealer

Glad that someone knows where we are...if you happen to decide to revisit give me a shout & pop along...you'd be very welcome

Unfortunately Lidl don’t deliver. ALDI do, so you could see if they sell one in the future. Otherwise look online and see if there are offers. Some vacuum dealers are expensive.

Thank you ever so much for taking the time to answer my question as I do appreciate it. Thought I was just being a complete plank & missing the delivery info on the website

Did have a look at ALDI but didn't seem to have anything similar....much to my shame I also looked on eBay & yes the profiteers have appeared also looked on Amazon but none of them looked as good as the one from Lidl particularly due to the 3 year warranty.

You’re welcome. If you can’t get to Lidl, wait until Aldi sells them again, if you can. Aldi Specialbuys are released every Sunday and Thursday but go on sale on their app and website on Sundays. It’s good to keep browsing on Sunday’s to see what they’ve got. Popular items sell out quickly online though. If the vacuum sealers come up at Aldi I’ll let you know. That way you can get it delivered. Aldi also usually have 3 years warranty on their products too. They don’t have the same stuff for sale on their website and shops all the time so it’s best to look on Sunday mornings.

yeah the Orkney one is just next to Tesco near the sports centre. Still not exactly a quick trip to the shops. I've done that ferry over from Aberdeen via orkney. It took forever. Haven't been to shetland for a good few years now. My husband was an archaeologist and he did a lot of digging up that neck of the woods.
