Because, in moderation, sweets aren't the end of the world. Don't tell me how to parent. I'd rather her teeth fall out and she actually enjoys her life then her look perfect and have a miserable existence, like a certain someone

Just a heads up for anyone, 2 regular cups hold the same amount as 1 share cup.
    So...
    1 share cup = £3
    2 regular cups 2x£1 = £2

So if you want to get a share cup, get 2 regulars instead

I carry a small blow torch I use for creme brulé, heat up the confectionery until it melts, that way I know there are no gaps. Also has a moderate sterilising effect. Failing that, grab a rubber mallet from the store and go to work on it. By weight I would have been in for over £906.57 for the 8 cups. Back of the net.

Has anyone worked out whether getting a cup or weighed bag is more cost affective? I know it depends on squish factor and weight of the sweets but it would be interesting to know. And yes, I should get a life.

I like to build a solid foundation with Refreshers lining the wall and all the squishables in the centre. Plenty of fizzy bubblegum bottles in there as palate cleansers!

Lol, ever notice staff laughing at you? Because you can take your own food into most cinemas as long as it’s nothing smelly.

Most large cinemas allow cold non-smelly food and drinks to be brought in.

They make a good point. Diabetes numbers are exploding, and a lot of people don't even know they are walking around with it, or are in the pre-diabetic stage. When you say moderation, eating a small amount of sweets is one thing, but then what else is eaten in the day? Pizza? Chips? Burgers? (edited)

I was put off pick n' mix when the security control room at a shopping mall told me they'd seen a store (not sure which one) sweep up the dropped sweets and chuck them back in.

I was never sure if they were totally serious but nevertheless. (edited)

Cheaper than most places, cup of diabetes

You can not get diabetes from eating sugar - iss not that simple

Where do you draw the line? I'm going to stop driving too in case i have a crash. We're all insignificant and going to die anyway. If i go out in a sea of foam bananas then so be it. I cant afford to live too long anyway

The trouble with these serve yourself sweets is that the little loves don't know what the scoop is for so they grab a handful of sweets but then put half back and move to the next tray repeat till cup is full. The bacteria must be teeming at the end of the day, yummy.

Sooo, if you're skinny as a rake and eat tons of sugar... will you be OK?

"..Sugar quickly makes you fat and, as you say, being fat renders you …"..Sugar quickly makes you fat and, as you say, being fat renders you liable to type 2..." quote.

    Fruit? Contains sugar.

Is there something special about sugar that it makes you fat? No.
It is JUST a carbohydrate - You know, like pasta, potato, bread..

Is there something special with carbohydrates that make you fat? No....
Your body runs in Calories, too many Calories from anywhere will make you fat.

That being if you eat so many carrots that your Caloric intake was higher than what your body puts out, you would get fatter...

You can replace “carrots” with anything that you eat.

No need to spew misinformation when nutrition is clearly not something you have any idea about
You probably don’t even know someone with diabetes...
