It's shocking during school holidays...they let way too many people in. Standing in queues for over an hour with young children to get on a ride that lasts less than a minute is in no way fun.

Agreed but try and avoid these busy times or buy a q bot.

Any school holidays are busy times, and school holidays or weekends are the only times you can go with kids of school age...! You shouldn't need to pay that huge surplus amount of money on top of standard ticket prices to be able to actually enjoy your day at the park too, Q Bot is a lot of extra money. (edited)

Best time to go Legoland ever is when there is NO school holidays , call one day sick for your child and go on Legoland during school time to enjoy it properly

What?! If you've driven to legoland and your kids are wanting to go on the attractions that's what you need to do, there's not much else to do besides the rides....!

Legoland has to be one of the most densely populated areas on earth during school holidays. I went for 2 days last year and other than the first hour when we beat the queues, it wasn't a particularly great experience.

Unfortunately most theme parks are the same. If they are good then they are popular. There are inset days you can take kids there which is what I do or even evenings in the summer. You don't have to pay extra, that's your choice of course, I just prefer not to queue as much.

100% bunk the kids off school for 1 day and go during term time!

If you feel guilty then home school your kids for 1 day in the holiday
  16. bestec2's avatar
not as good deal. Only 1 day in park

    100% agree.

Even the Q-Bot Priority lanes are a joke on some of the more desired rides (ninjago for instance).

Problem is they can never anticipate how many visitors come to the gate. Last year we pre-booked a date and they were rejecting 100s of people (signs on the motorway saying LEGOLAND FULLY BOOKED - NO ENTRY UNLESS PREBOOKED) but still took forever to get in and park and we had people offering to pay us more than face value of the tickets we had (thanks to the sun saver codes posted last year on this site we paid £3 for 4 of us!)

But that was the first time in half term we didn't wait forever queuing for rides, food or face painting and we got around WITH SPACE!

DEFINITELY need to adopt a maximum number of guests in the park at any one time but profits over guest comfort I guess!

Regardless i love it and looking forward to taking the kids again next week!

One of the more noticeable differences now is that a lot of the rides don't work. I am not sure whether the difference is that they used to maintain them when the place was shut but now do so when the park is open but we haven't yet hit peak season, but we go off-peak whilst we can and you can usually rely on about 3-4 rides being out of action.

Good offer, but I do agree with some of the others that Legoland is the worst park to visit. You can't see your own child at times, unless you are holding their hand its so busy. (Mines yr6 and so mostly past hand holding) They also don't deal with queues well and allow rides to carry on only half full, rather than getting people to fill seats like they do at Chessington.

I went last Summer, but never again. Badly run, badly laid out.

I've been once, never again. It was the worst theme park I've ever been to.

But it is a good day out remember to pack your own picnic
Thorpe is also good for kids and Tesco has x3 voucher

Lol we got to the park as the gates were opening; this was the first ride we went on given it was the 'New' ride of the time.

Did not queue for long, but what a boring ride even my kids were not impressed.

Passing by later on in the day I could only feel sorry for the parents queuing for over an hour.

My 5 year old loved it, but she absolutely loved the movie. I could see older kids complaining it was boring and i understand why! The longest i saw it state thay same day was 105 minutes - thankfully we had the QBot thing so we only waited 5 mins when we did it!
