What’s the catch? Why cold? Or ... whats Amazon Assistant anyway!?

The catch is that it almost definitely sucks up all your browser data so they can target more ads at you.

I'm not knocking it, tis today's world but I'll definitely be clearing history before installing and removing it straight after.

The only thing I'm frustrated at is that it is not easy to determine what data they take and how they use it - it's just briefly mentioned (although if someone can spend longed than the 1 min I did and finds anything on this let me know!)

    most people maybe not everyone

last thing i got off amazon was a 240gb ssd, and i only got that cos the total cost was .97p (with a £5 its been a while promo, and a £20 credit with amazon credit card, that when in the shredder and bin as soon as it came, the card not the ssd)

outside of deals like that, i have no use for amazon

In that space, I've got the thing that's always there about Prime members getting a 30-minute head start on lightning deals.I would be surprised if it weren't sophisticated enough to identify accounts which have used installed it in the past and not even display the offer.

Put something sold by Amazon in your basket above £25 and then go to the final page before confirming it and then it should automatically apply.

I know I have but credit is missing and not for the first time.

Call them or use the online chat and be persistent. Emailing them is hopeless. Jus keep repeating yourself and they will eventually go get their team leader and give you credit just to shut you up. Works every time. (edited)

I think the safest and easiest method of installing this would be to create a new profile on Firefox and install the extension there, then buy what you want and delete the whole profile.
