Brand wise, I think the name is just licensed out, probably to some cheap Chinese manufacturer. They also license the energizer brand to b&m for various of their products.

This can because it's an impact wrench not an impact drill. Seems to be some confusion in that regard.

I've used them a few times now and they have been great. Free next day delivery via DPD if you spend over £50 and free 2-3 day delivery over £10. I have just ordered a charger which was only £18 and they have still despatched it via DPD for next day delivery. So far they seem to be a professional outfit.

bit of digging reveals they use PayPal via Sagepay so you get no protection via Paypal (due to their requirement for direct payment)

    bit iffy to me tbh.

Nothing fraudulent - they just use Sagepay as an intermediary

therefore doesn't fit the criteria for Paypal buyer protection but isn't fraud

it'll probably be OK for stuff like that. usually only 60Nm or so (freshly torqued)

    I'm keeping mine

i do have a mains powered 1/2 impact which has a lot more torque if it starts to struggle but means running extensions etc..

Sorry I didn't get a notification. I was able to use this to change all four shocks on the car that had likely been on for 14 years / 130k miles. Made fairly light work of an otherwise grotty job and think I would have struggled more with just a breaker bar.

For £80 happy to sign off on a recommendation

That’s not the same impact wench in your link. I’m a little upset as I bought one from amazon last week it was a brand I’d never heard of but the reviews were all 5 stars it is very powerful and had a 2 year warranty. I’m tempted to grab this as well because it’s brushless. This is the one I bought and to be fair it’s really good.

The part numbers are the same and the spec is the same from what I can see.

This one is brushless and is 320Nm also has a 2 year warranty. (edited)

With each delivery I have received there has been a full glossy UK Planet Tools catalogue. I have purchased several DeWalt tools from them, all came well packaged and all were new. I registered all of the tools via the DeWalt site for the 3 year warranty without any issues. (edited)

Yep I've done this, although at less than £100 I don't think there is any real benefit over a debit card, other than indirect loss (vs direct) in case of theft of card details

    Will report back any problems

They do also have a youtube video about this item which shows pretty good performance compared to some other well known brands:

Ordered, just hope those figures are genuine. Was struggling to get the hub bolts off last night, and need to change some shockers too.

mine arrived. fairly compact and both batteries are fully charged. not the best build quality, a few nicks and scratches (unless it's been returned before, idk...)

speed control seems useful although it took me a minute to figure out what the buttons mean (RTFM)

got an awful off-gassing smell too

will try it on a bolt at some point

Is the smell coming from the batteries when they are being charged?

no i havent charged them yet, its just off-gassing from all the plastics so it smells a bit 'industrial'

    should fade with time

    ok can update now-

pretty confident it doesnt have 320Nm of torque. it took a good few seconds for it to remove wheel nuts torqued to 120Nm a few months ago (so unlikely to be significantly above that due to rust etc)

it did remove them though, pretty noisy as most impacts are, but i think it would struggle for anything *really* stuck on

i was using a 17mm impact socket, by the way.

if you don't expect too much from it, it seems fine, but i wouldnt expect it to remove head bolts, crank bolts etc..

all depends on what you want to do with it

cordless versions generally are weaker than pneumatic
