For an extra £20 or so per person, you can book directly with Emirates Airlines themselves and save yourself any potential hassle that might occur due to the horrible nature of many of these online travel agents, especially if things go awry with the flight such as a reroute, cancellation etc.
Just read the TripAdvisor comments from literally thousands of people about these and other nasty online travel agents before you go ahead and save yourself £20 by skipping going directly to the airline.
Always book directly with the airlines for the best peace of mind.
And always pay by credit card.
By the way, paying the extra £20 or so to book directly with Emirates Airlines is still a decent price, so I'm voting this hot. Just avoid all of those shonky agencies in the screenshot and others of that ilk. If you have to use a 3rd party then go with something like Expedia. (edited)
Stop listening to the rubbish people say. It's completely fine holding hands in public.
Wrong
It's fine to hold hands.
Surely you just read the advice from the Uk Government?
gov.uk/for…oms
You should read them every time you go to a Country you have never been to.
I’m an Atheist and have been to Dubai before.
If you just be normal, you will be fine. If you plan to go to Dubai to break the rules because you don’t agree with them, you deserve everything you get.
Stop reading the Daily Mail, 15+ million people visit the UAE each year and almost none have an issue.
Their modern economy relies on tourism, look at what they have built thanks to that income.
If you can’t go a few days without groping your GF/Wife in public, perhaps Benidorm would be a better option for you.
Wrong. Same as London, only better.
Have to say I disagree with not visiting Dubai, plenty to see and do in Dubai, I probably would have agreed prior to our visit though.
We also took a trip down to Deira to the real gold souk, an interesting experience with every second person approaching us to ask if we wanted fake stuff, I felt safer here than I did visiting New Orleans, although my wife disagreed and said that she felt like she was being looked at like a piece of meat. This was the only time she felt like this though and most of Dubai is not like that.
I thought Dubai felt very American in its entire set up, loads of American shops / brands / restaurants and cars.
We will will definitely be going back though, hotel was gorgeous and a great place to relax.
The deal we got was for flights and hotel and worked out at £620 for half board which was pretty bargainous. I’d be looking for a similar deal in the future.
Went with my family March. Didn't do shopping just loads of activities booked on TripAdvisor would definitely be going back with the lads. Really looking into this deal!!
Strange laws in every country. Holidaymakers rarely see any grief, been there 10 times and never had an issue. Don't be misled by the media
If u believe that then u will believe anything.
Fool
Depends where you go
Dubai isnt expensive its always ur choice where to shop and eat if u go luxury hotels & bars then yes it is.
Note: I'm not advocating this, just saying the comments about the horrific punishments awaiting you if you touch someone's hands or look meaningfully at someone are either outdated or just straight up fabricated.
Dont believe everything you read and hear
Remember there are two sides to every story
ive been to dubai 4 times (just got back on Monday) and never found an 8 quid pint (unless you count 2-4-1 in happy hour) before now
No. It was, in the 90s, when we lived there, but nearly everything's expensive nowSome things were pretty
No need to buy a sim, just to get Google maps. Download maps before you go or when you've got free WiFi out there (widely available).
Perish the thought of a 20MB wife at 35000 feet and that too for free😜
Disagree... just returned from Dubai with them on Monday and they were appalling.
Cabin crew were pretty rude.
Best IMO is Singapore.
Only if your married and then it’s still frowned upon in public,

Depends on if you know where to go or not.
Download the Entertainer App and buy a week's pass from fleabay and you can get 2 for 1 on meals and attractions which makes it all much more reasonable.
Taxis are very reasonable as long as you do not get into a black Lexus or Merc.
Or you can just “rent” the app off eBay with a login. Have done it twice. Around £20 for a week but savings are immense
I visited Dubai last year and bought the app. It cost £80, but I saved £350 so well worth it. Had no problems using it in any of the restaurants or attractions we went to, they all knew what it was. You'll be happy to have 2-for-1 vouchers when wine is £10 a glass! (this was at the Hilton Walk, may not be as expensive elsewhere) (edited)
Not really
Expensive than London.
Be prepared for £8 pints, expensive shopping and expensive food but it is quite an experience!
Same as London
Random seat is free, right?
Majority of the deals above are from Stansted where you can't fly the A380. Boeing 777 flies from there.
In-air service has been cut back a lot as well, they threw away their premium airline label years ago by joining the race to the bottom with the EU and NA airlines.
I wouldn’t risk it people seem to go to jail for 10+ years for using there camera, holding hands/being drunk
Depends where in Dubai you decide to visit.
They have quite a few towns. If you go to places like Dubai Mall then it's just as pricey as what you'd find in Harrods.
They do have an outlet mall which is fairly cheap
Visit places like Deira or Al Karama for cheap goods.
Any Souk you visit will have cheaper and better quality Jewellery than what you'll find in the UK.
