This is a great deal and Xbox are absolutely on fire for this E3 it seems, heat added!

That's how it worked a couple of weeks ago.

It was a 1:1 conversion ratio. No message was given to indicate this or any conversation would even be given though.

Basically buy 3 years of cheap gold.
Then buy 1 month of this for £1
= 3 years of gold and gamepass ultimate.

The formula for knowing how much Ultimate you will get is:

Number of Months of Live you have left
+
Number of Months of Game Pass you have left
+
1
=
Number of months of Ultimate you will be given for £1 when you convert.

I have just double checked this on my conversion to ultimate - there is NO 2 months for 3 months thing at all. It simply adds to the two amounts remaining together then adds the free month

Just to repeat if you have no Ultimate Subscription yet the formula for what you will get is:

So if you have 6 months left on Line and 3 months on Game Pass then you will get 10 months of Ultimate for £1

Add together the number of months of Live and Game Pass you currently have. You can convert these subscriptions to Ultimate for £1.

Examples:

If you have 12 months of Live, you'd get 13 months of Ultimate for £1.

If you have 15 months of Game Pass, you'd get 16 months of Ultimate for £1.

If you have 12 months of Live and 15 months of Game Pass, you'd get 28 months of Ultimate for £1.

Ultimate gives you Live Gold and Game Pass for both Xbox and PC, plus early access to Gears 5.

I'm given a message that joining Ultimate will upgrade my existing subscriptions for "the same amount of time" up to 36 months.No mention of 20 days. A benefit of being an Insider maybe?

I dont understand the amount of confusion going on here lolol. Lets get this simple....its the same as the xbox insider deal i grabbed 1 month ago.

And i also dont understand why so many of you arent using the max 36 months of the deal....too many people with ultimate just until 2021....

Guys stack gold for 3 years, or 2 years and 11 months, and buy the 1 pound deal for ultimate....and you will get 36 months of ultimate.

If you already have gamepass, just do simple math lol, gold + gamepass....leaves you with expiration time until ? then add gold on top of that to a total of 35 months. then use the link, and now you have 36 months of ultimate (edited)

If you have no outstanding subscriptions (Gold or Game Pass) you're paying £1 for one month of Game Pass. If you do have existing subscriptions they are converted to Game Pass Ultimate at a ratio of 1 month for 20 days Game Pass Ultimate + the £1 for 1 month on top.

Xbox Live was due to end early 07/2021 now paying a quid Ultimate ends 18/6/2021 so lost a few days but what a bargain though Thanks for the heads up.

Where's the cheapest Gold subsciptions at the moment? I'm only signed up until December 2020 at the moment, so could do with adding another year.

FYI, game pass PC is launching later today and is included in ultimate. One of the titles going in on PC is Metro Exodus! I'll bet my bottom dollar xCloud will be going in here too, Microsoft love to bundle those subscriptions! (edited)

For everyone fretting, best method is the 6mo game pass sub on eBay. Get as close to 36 months in total between your XBL Gold and game pass subs, and then convert for £1.

6mo costs £11.49. 36 months = £68.94 for 3 years ultimate, pretty generous saving. (edited)

There’s actually very few occasions where I see a deal and genuinely think ‘wow, too good to turn down’ (£34 Xbox being good example, but I was late to party) but this is one of them. Best £1 I’ve spent in a while. So the stacking of £14.99 amazon Gold deals had their good use after all! (edited)

There was a bloke on ebay selling 6 month game pass codes for £11.50. Well, it was actually all stackable 14 day codes. Took me about half an hour to copy and paste them in but worth it paid up til June 2022!

Can not believe cdkeys they keep upping the price there 12 months is not to far from full price.

Think ill avoid them even with a deal if thats how they work.

This is what I'm shown. I was a late arrival to the Insider program and missed out on the previous beta offer. I'm now level 4 I think after I signed up a couple of weeks ago. That's the only reason I can think of for me to be getting anything different from the standard offer.

It’s not gone through then. You should see both gold and GP separate subs cancelled as of today and a single ultimate pass running until xxxx

Awesome. Converted to three years of GP ultimate for £1.00 which is great after getting the Gold for free through MS Rewards.

I just did it and my gamepass was 21/4/21 and my live was 22/1/22
now I have ultimate until 7/6/22
so I've gained 10 months game pass and 5 months live!

Can confirm that I got 1:1 conversion and in fact they rounded up the 19 extra days that I had to a month too. Also the message I got before subscribing said it would be 1:1 and I'm not signed up to insider.

That doesn't seem fair to me. If you were first to post this deal, your thread should be kept.

Also, I'm assuming one long term downside of this is less of the cheap offers from the likes of cdkeys, so unfortunately in a couple of years could end up costing us more.

Your current subs are added together so you'd have ~25 months from your Gold sub plus ~10 months from Game Pass plus the 1 months you pay £1 for. So a total of (give or take a few days) 36 months, which is the maximum you can have.

Ok, if you have 12 months of Gold xbox sub left and you buy this GP ulitimate for £1, you will then get 240 days of GP and Gold sub as they are combined into one subscription, yes you lose two months gold but gain10 months GP, for a £1............

No problem. My apologies for the massive confusion I was still trying to get my head around it.

So, it's a 1:1 conversion if you don't have Game Pass Ultimate currently guys (XBL + Game Pass subscription + 1 month for £1 - for example). If you do have Ultimate then future conversions from redeeming Xbox Live Gold will work as follows...

• 1 month Gold = 20 days Ultimate (3:2)
• 3 months Gold = 2 months Ultimate (3:2)
• 12 months Gold = 4 months Ultimate (3:1)

I do hope this is clearer, and a little more helpful (edited)
