Philips Hue Lightstrip - Can you hardwire them?

For some context im getting a new kitchen, missus has chosen units that go almost to ceiling, will be a gap of about 35mm.

i have installed cables to above the 3 sections of units and also various points underneath.
due to small gap i dont think ill get away with putting sockets above units and then plugging in the chunky transformer type plugtop that i assume will come with the lights.
So im hoping the plug can be cut off and cable stripped a little and then joined to mains cables using a thinner connector block box?

Has anyone got any experience of this?
its quite an outlay on lights to not work

TIA

I’ve asked a similar question yesterday too Here
It looks like you get the following in the Phillips Hue box, obviously with a UK 3 pin plug.
I have an electrician calling round tomorrow (about something else) and I’ll ask him if there are any led strip lights that can be mains wired (rather than a plug in a socket).

i have wired spurs into the ring, with 1mm flex protected by 3a fuses, i will hopefully just connect them directly to flex with joint boxes.
i am an electrician, so all good on the wiring aspect etc, im just now wanting to spend £50-60 on a lightstrip kit and cut the plug off, to find out its the plug that is the transformer, was hoping someone had already taken the leap
