Given this is an M365 rebrand with a more powerful motor I have given this a go: ebay.co.uk/itm…649

I am hoping that the connections are the same and I should just be able to update the FW on this to the hacked version for faster scooting.

Should be interesting! Will let you know how I get on if no one else does before me!

    Cheers

Lidls specs don't appear to match either. One thing is for sure, it's pretty much identical looks wise from the outside. For instance-Lidl 350w motorM365 pro 300w motor M365 250w motorLidl 7.2Ah (need voltage to work out the other value)M365 pro 474WhM365 280 WhConfused? Technical specifications
    • Range: approx. 22 km
    • Speed: maximum 20 km / h
    • Motor: Rated power: 350 watts (front wheel drive)
    • Battery: Li-ion battery with Sanyo cells, 36V 7.2 Ah, 259 Wh
    • Charging time: up to 7 hours
    • Charger: 42V 1.5Ah

Might need to translate page to English..but nabbed that from: lidl.de/de/…995

Mishmash jobby, but even with bigger motor, battery looks like the main sticking point and puts it just bellow the M365, but with some pros and cons. Liitle summary from a chap on a scoot group i'm in:

    Hybrid of the m365/pro/Ninebot max
    # It’s designed for the Austrian market. The documentation and guarantee provided by KSR Group.
    # It has the basic display from the m365, and operates in the same way, going into eco mode when the battery reaches a certain level. In order to comply with Austrian legislation it has both the pull brake and a separate e brake lever.
    # From the m365 pro it seems to have the 350w motor, better latch and the metal guard in the rear fender to stop wheel bounce ruining the rear light connection.
    # From the max it has tubeless tyres
    # Lacks BluTooth

Its still very decent vs the current pricetag (edited)

Not tested it properly yet. Its genuine M365 Pro. I weight close to 100KG, ride from home to office will be undulating and the roads are horrendous around Manchester, so not expecting the battery to hold that well regardless.

Still, should be OK for the 4 mile commute each way.

Not worried about the Bobby patrol. Spoke to one on weekend as I was near Christmas Market... Essentially said that so long as I don't ride it like a complete c ck and endangering people, they usually won't go out of their way to deviate from their day's orders. Obviously he said that he can't guarantee all his colleagues will take the same view.

Details/ link for the hook please

Amazon: VonHaus 2x Vertical Wall Mount Bike Cycle Storage Hooks - Indoor/Garage/Shed - Steel & Plastic Coated £8.99. Dunno how much delivery is, as I have Prime. As I needed two, this worked out a lot cheaper than buying it from even Aliexpress etc and no waiting for delivery. Comes with decent sized wall plugs and screws (4 each mount). Very secure.

We had a short break to Seville recently and you can hire these (or something similar) from lots of places in the street using an app, like Boris bikes in London. They stuck to the cycle lanes and seemed a pretty good idea. Helps that the weather is a bit better over there! (edited)

I've driven this through all the season, main thing to avoid is driving through deep puddles. Most importantly is to protect the power button, it's not waterproof, lots of options for sealing this: cover, liquid silicon ect.

It does no harm to clarify the matter, even at the expense of ever so slightly boring those who already know. I believe that much of the "boring" you complain of comes about from the subsequent argy-bargy when the scofflaws and apologists wade in with their take on how the law is an ass, how it is not being evenly enforced, and how it is likely to change one day, none of which negate the actual legal position as of now and the consequent risks of riding one of these scooters in a public place.

From that video...... 'water in there could possibly make it explode'
'to be honest I know it says don't use it in the rain, but this is unacceptable' so the idiot uses it in the rain anyway (it was only light though lol) of course, the pavement wasn't wet either after this light rain, and he didn't go through any deep puddles.........priceless.
Next 'well, what's the solution to this, it's actually pretty simple' duh, yeah, don't use it in the rain.
Makes you wonder how many brain cells some people work on......
