Trump toilet brush £1 at Poundland

We have just deleted a bunch of comments on this thread. Since hotukdeals was launched in 2004 we've allowed members to openly discuss their position and feelings on a huge range of subjects. While we encourage all users to be respectful toward one another at all times, we're sure you can appreciate that the aforementioned topics tend to create huge discord among our community and account for a disproportionately high amount of complaints and reports.

We took the decision last yearto no longer allow debate or discussion on politics or religion. As many of you have mentioned in the past, these threads typically tend to head one way and the users within them can often be accused of flame baiting.

That's fine and all but you deleted my comment that merely said its distasteful to have a trump toilet brush, if it were an obama toilet brush there would be discussions about opression etc?

What part of that was making a reference to politics? or being disrespectful to one particular person?

Healthy discussion is one thing. Sterilizing discussion is another.

I'm not even upset or being facetious. It was a genuine question. As a person of colour, I often find its non people of colour who take the most offence to the most banal situations, and then prevent people like me from having our say. As innocent as the intention may be.

I was in Poundland tonight, didn't see it, but I'll buy one.

The post I made a few months ago about Donald Trump Dog Toys didn't go down so well

The comments in here are worth a quid on their own, gold I tell ya!

A bit of an overreaction in my honest opinion. I am personally careful not to inflame or offend others but there should be some room for a laugh ..... or maybe not then? Please check my post again and see if you really think it could cause offence.
