    You can pretend its an iPhone 11, same resolution as that

    Fair enough, but I wouldn't let that put you off, not visible to the naked eye in most instances.

    I bought this the last time it was on HUKD. First phone in a long time that I don't have to charge every day. I cannot see the difference betwen this 720p screen and the higher resolution screens I've had been. I do wear glasses though.
    This has Dual Sim AND memory card slots (nothing shared).
    Be aware, this is a big, heavy phone!

    Okay so

    Redmi Note 8T has
    * Better screen - 1080vs the 720 on A5
    * Better Camera front and back
    *18W charging this isnt stated for A5

    Oppo A5 has
    * bigger battery capacity (25%)
    * more battery efficiency due to lower 720P screen
    * 0.2 inch bigger screen which will negate some of battery efficiency from previous point
    *Reverse charging

    Everything else is the same, including chip sets.

    For an extra £30 (including vouchers/discounts) you can get the Redmi Note 8 pro, with 64mb camera

    I would say 1280x800 on an 8 inch tablet is the cut off point for resolution. 720 on a 6.5 is better than that. Although you can see the difference in resolution it doesn't actually make any differecr. ie I am typing this on a tablet as described above but also own a Samsung Note 4 (which is 2560x1440 on a 5.7 screen). Although I can clearly see the difference between those massively different resolutions it doesn't make any practical difference. The note 5 has a great screen but in reality it is mainly the OLED that is driving that.

    Reverse charge is good, but I think the note 8t is a better device overall.
    Heated, as it's still a cracking deal

    Probably the Xiaomi, but this for immense battery life.

    Anyone seriously considering this should also give a lot of thought to Switchy's deal on the Realme 5 Pro from Amazon Spain. I bought one and it's amazing value for money! Turned up really quickly from Amazon Spain too. I bought the 8 gig version for about £35 more but I can't see it making a huge difference in terms of performance. Realme was originally an Oppo brand.

    Biggest battery under 200 and 720p will draw less power but if you want a better camera, and bit faster processor, realme 5 pro is the way to go, but you will be sacrificing battery life!

    I've got an Xiaomi 7 - not bowled over by the camera, I would be tempted to try an Oppo next.

    I don’t know too much about these fringe brand Android phones, but please can someone recommend one to me that has at least 256gb memory, dual sim, nfc, at least 6.5 in screen, runs nice and fast with no lag, excellent battery life (edited)

    I have this phone and I rate it.. just a few niggles, the timer dosn't show on the lock screen and there's no customisable lockscreen shortcuts.. It has insane output volume through the aux out, it's about twice as loud as my ipod classic, the classic still naturally sounds better, I have to turn off the smart dolby atmos, lower the volume and tweak EQ to get the the same clarity and dynamic separation as the ipod. The mic is not amazing but I can at least hear live music recordings.

    Has a gyro for VR and photospheres

    Battery is nuts.. I can go 2 full days without charging it with average use. (edited)

    Because market leader Apple doesn't compete on specs and they're selling tons. Market has realised that most their western customers are dumb and don't care about much innovation or specs, just marketing. I mean iPhone 11 is a £700 phone with a 720P LCD released in 2019...
