UPDATE: - Although advertised as the Game of the Year Edition, it seems Square Enix are only actually supplying free keys for the standard version. As Steam are also giving the Tomb Raider standard edition away free, you might prefer to get it directly from Steam to save having to create a Square Enix account to get it.

Note: if you get Tomb Raider 2013 via Steam then you'll get a standard basic version. Grab the special GOTY version direclty from Square Enix site!

I believe the decision to list these for free were not made by Valve but by the publisher themselves. So Square Enix made the call to make these free on Steam and their own store.

They changed it from Game of the Year edition to standard edition (no DLC) after I ordered GOTY. That sucks.

There are no signs at checkout or after checkout that it's goty ed.
If that's the case then everyone is going to have a much faster time buying from steam which for me was instant (I got both incase of goty) (edited)- Shi t. Now 4100 ahead. 16mins wait
