Go out and wash your car, ignore the moral custodians and count it as your exercise for the day - just don't be lazy and polish it too. You'll not be mixing with anyone outside your doorstep and perfectly acceptable to do this.
Oh, and this is exactly the same as the Demon stuff too, just in trade amounts so not just as good as, but actually is Demon foam.
I washed mine last week. When I spotted anyone walking down the road I went into my garden and waited for them to go past. Similarly, if a can came past I stopped as I didn't want to annoy anyone. If you are keeping away from people, and be respectful of others, I don't see what the problem is.
agreed, but would it not be helpful ? I thought we are all here to help each other.....or maybe not, seems the comments are just users ranting on about if they should or should not be washing their cars, they could do that on private messaging to each other.
As car plan make "Demon Foam" is this not the same stuff ?? Is it therefore not good value ? I dont know, all I know is that lots of people voted it cold and then ranted on in the comments about something else.
Do CarPlan really have two production lines pumping out different liquids or are we all being fooled, is it one and the same liquid ????

Why would you want to take the risk? Protect the NHS and don’t engage in non essential activity.
I dont see the issue, as long as your not close to anyone else
You are allowed to wash your vehicle on a public road and the water is allowed to go down the drains as long as you are using water based detergents that do not harm the environment, and as long as Oil, fuel and other lubricants cannot enter the watercourse.
And, you can only do it if it isn't part of your job. So if you are a car valeter, you can't, but your own private use car you are allowed. Similarly, if you took a motorcross bike out in the field on a Sunday morning you are allowed to wash it on the front but not if you are a professional motorcross rider.
How ever much logic there is to say it's creating no risk, it is breaking the rules and I personally wouldn't want to be seen to be doing so.
There are many things forbidden at the moment where individual instances wouldn't create risk, but do set a precedent for slipping boundaries. A dirty car for a few more weeks won't hurt anyone. Slippping standards on social distancing could.
Aha, teaching the boy to ride his bike was also on my lockdown list...
ha ha ha.....I wash my car in my back garden and so do all my neighbours - what are you talking about. (edited)
.....sorry mother
IIRC, you're not allowed to use public drains for your personal water wastage. Additionally, you need to be careful what chemicals you are putting down drains.
Rules is rules, turn that light off!
I thought the same thing. Was expecting someone to report me but as long as you move when people come by, I don't see how you're bothering anyone. I'm. Planning on cleaning the inside of the car and vacuuming it tomorrow
I was out in the cul-de-sac on Saturday teaching my son to ride a bike as our daily exercise and I got a frown and head shake from someone who clearly thought it was wrong behaviour. I don't think now is the time to retaliate, argue or even try to explain my position with her (or anyone similar) as everyone is desperate for this situation to end, with some struggling emotionally.
Well, that is standard operating procedure, when you actually need one, they're busy. I can't believe there is much burglary or drug dealing going on over the last few weeks?
However, go for a stroll in the woods, and you have drones and police rummaging through your shopping trolley, after your Stasi next door neighbours have had a good grassing up session...
That's what I'll be doing this weekend, but I'm in position where I can do it on a driveway to my garage, i.e. my property, so I should be good, right?
Still a bit worried though, because there are peope living across very narrow street...
Well, I was tempted, but not so sure... The cars need a good clean, and it's unusual they both get parked up outside the house with the permits as they are!
It's safe to assume it's not a good deal if it's been voted ice cold. People aren't required to comment as to why they've chosen to vote hot/cold.
Demon foam is considered trash by car cleaning enthusiasts, that's all. Plenty of deals for good foam washes on here.
It wasn't a rant, if I got good vibes, I'd have bought it...you've posted a deal for something that is essentially useless, as no one can use it currently?
I could wash my summer alloys, they're sitting in the back garden, much to the annoyance of my Mrs...
Also, you should have added a comparison price, people see £20 for a bottle of washing up liquid, and down vote, move on. The chit chat and discussion normally helps a deal as well... (edited)
Evening Standard: Dr Hilary urges people not to wash their cars during lockdown.

Sigh...
