Depends on your usage, but mostly is account sharing, the intro skipping feature, etc. If you're not going to use any of them, then there is no point.

I was thinking of getting a HD homerun and killing off virgin media.
To be honest, either you're bothered enough about it to donate / buy the subscription to support the project (that you're getting for free) or you sit through 30 seconds of intros
I'd be happy to pay for the feature but it doesn't seem to work on Chromecast (and I love dancing stupidly to the intros!)
I had previously subscribed for a month which ran out 3 months ago, so maybe thats how long it takes them to send a discount code.

None that I can see. I also have free Plex on my QNAP NAS but I find it clunky and it doesn't update itself automatically so I use the built-in QNAP media server which is much easier to use.
You'd think they'd just at a chance to get more people on. Km tempted by the £3.99 option and hope they send me a code

I've got Linux scripts that run monthly to update for me. I find it really good as it is. My NAS is a Freenas build I did myself in a HP microserver. I'm a network engineer by trade, so mess with Linux and it's variants regularly already.

Benefits are if u use a pc with quick sync, it enables hw transcoding, otherwise it’s not worth the money

I've got Plex Pass so would happily use the feature but I feel for those who stream from me who can't
Beware that the DVR is unreliable.
Some say they have no bother, but ..... check out the Plex forums before tying yourself into this.
