If you create a US account, you'll need to buy credit which makes it awkward to purchase something for so little. Best bet is to create US account, buy another game from there that's in the sale, then use the accrued gold coins to purchase this.

Weird as never get in when changing through South Africa store
You can’t use a card on the US store. You would need to buy US credit. The US does not allow you to change region back to the UK unless you spend all your credit though. That is why it is recommended to have a separate US account.
Ok so I can create a US account and link this to my UK account - would I still be able to switch back if I have credit left?
Your US account would be added to the Switch and you would then have a US and UK account on there. You can just choose when you start a game or visit the store if you want to use your UK or US account. The two accounts pop up and you choose one each time.
I’ve created my US account which is linked to my console - shall I just top up my account with my revolut card
No cards will work on the US account. You will need to buy US credit from somewhere like PC Game Supply, Target or Amazon US.

Sorry I wasn’t around. For the Amazon US site you would need to add a US billing address, preferably Oregon and Delaware and have the content and devices set to US. PC Game Supply should be fine though and come through for you I’m not too long
