While I appreciate these posts - anything school holiday related needs to come out several weeks earlier. My boy went back to school today after 2 weeks off - many schools in Scotland have been off either last week or this week.

Same applies to summer holidays where Scottish schools tend to be off from late June to mid August rather than English (in particular) dates.

Great thread, must have taken ages to compile. I'm actually surprised at a few of these things being free as I had assumed many had paid entry, such as The National Gallery. I think with the annoyance of travelling abroad due to covid the public are starting to appreciate the wealth of things to do domestically. It's always a good idea to check the local art galleries out as many of these are run on a donation basis, so you can choose to pay or not. Southampton City art gallery is free and pretty good for those in Hampshire.

If your down again in shaky wakey again let me know and I'll buy you a pint.

One of best nights out I've had was out on the toon up your end many years ago.

We were on a boat at some point, I still felt rough two day later.

My boy went back to school today after 2 weeks off - many schools in Scotland have been off either last week or this week.Same applies to summer holidays where Scottish schools tend to be off from late June to mid August rather than English (in particular) dates.

I think that the original post was about the timing of the post (I.e. in time for the English, but too late for the Scottish and some others, who are now back at school), not the cost of the breaks etc. Its about considering the whole of the UK and posting deals in time for everyone.
