I also wouldn't discount the koreans especially the LG washing machines (edited)
Thanks for the response. We are planning to buy brand new house using help to buy scheme and builder was giving the appliances with AEG brand and said it is similar brand like bosch So I am trying to understand if that is correct
My Beko fridge freezer, also made in Turkey, is over 5 years old and still performing flawlessly. Just the luck of the draw, I suppose.
Nah, but possibility of greater durability: maybe.
Regardless, the buyer is covered for 6 years from purchase to present an inadequate durability claim to the retailer, unless the buyer lives in Scotland.
Tend to agree with this with my recent experiences with AEG stuff too.
OP, if you are set on AEG then John Lewis own branded washers and dryers are rebadged AEG but a few £ cheaper.
Maybe the builder has a deal on AEG. I'm pretty loyal with Bosch for a mix of performance, reliability and repairability. When kitchen was redone went all Bosch. No repairs needed for 5 years then... It's been easy to DIY replace my oven elements. Had a halogen hob plate replaced by a white goods repairman (could have been DIY but wiring connector had a design change so got the pro in). The only concerning thing was that when the plate failed it was stuck fully ON! Got unstuck with Bosch cooker hood, the extractor fan motor failed at about 9 years. Bosch pretended to stock a replacement, took my order then strung me along for 5 weeks. This was long before current shortages. Ended up having to buy an entire new cooker hood of identical exterior design which was a bit of a faff to DIY install.
If you can go Bosch for say a 20% price premium over AEG, I'd do that.
