I am wondering if it is time for the annual round up of standard questions - best deal, best glitch, coldest deal, hottest deal, etc etc. (edited)

tesco once paid me £1 to take away a £200 pound juicer due to their double difference policy.

and recently, i had a broken r2 spring in my ps5 controller. Amazon refunded me the whole price of the console and told me to dispose of it. Bought a spring for £1, and fixed it within 2 mins. (edited)

    How does this work please

if an item is priced on the shelf at say £5 and when you went to the till it scanned at £10, that would mean they have over charged by £5. they would have to give you double the difference back. therefore they would refund you £10.

so if you ever notice an issue like that when going through the tills. dont point it out to the cashier. pay the extra price and then go to customer services and they will do the refund.

30 cans of Diet Coke for £4 with free delivery (min. spend £40), so because I drink a lot of it I got 10 cases.

Cheapest alternative was £6 at my local Farmfoods but for 24 cans, which I would have to buy 4 cases (96 cans) to get it at that price).

300 total cans (£40) w/ free delivery vs 96 cans (£24) collection (edited)

I got a couple of E14 Philips Hue bulbs (white ambiance) from John Lewis for £2 each with a dodgy discount code about a year ago, probably the best I've managed on a misprice.

I essentially got 5 LIFX light bulbs for "free" around black Friday or leading up to it this year after they they mispriced their packs of bulbs with 2 bulbs in (on almost all their range of bulbs apart from their Clean bulbs) as the same price as the single packs. The single bulb prices were also all cheaper on their store, even though Amazon's Black Friday specials had started, which is usually (along with prime day) when they hit their lowest yearly price.

I bought a 2 pack of the A60 colour 1200 lumen bulbs on Amazon a few days prior to seeing the mispricing so I bought another pack of 2 off the LIFX store (alongside a 2 Pack of Nightvision and a 2 pack of smaller A60 bulbs) with the intention of sending the Amazon ones back but Amazon took so long to deliver that I got those refunded and was allowed to keep the bulbs if they arrived (which they did eventually). So 5 free bulbs, 2 from Amazon, 3 from mispricing, 8 bulbs in total. Would have to work out what I paid vs what the absolute cheapest all the bulbs have historically been vs today's price for all of them to convince you all that it was actually a deal. I recognise most would scoff at a smart bulb being a good deal at the prices these are but ooft they're bright and have the most vivid colors.

Samsung Smart Monitor glitch where I was able to add multiple monitors, so I guess 3 monitors then delete all but one of them but the free mouse and keyboard would stay in my basket for all the monitors that were in the basket. So 3 free mice and 3 free keyboards instead of just one of each. I wasn't ballsy enough to go for more. I got the M70A 32" 4k monitor for £280.51 with 5% Samsung+ Card cashback so £266.51 with 3 keyboards and 3 mice. It's currently £399.99 on the store with the cheapest possible price being £274.99 if you get cashback and bonus cashback too. Though you can't accept the free headphones or pay using Samsung+ Card or cashback will be rejected as I wanted clarification early today so I still feel this was a very good deal.

And the current Samsung deal where I've purchased 1x Buds Live, 2x Buds Pro, 1x A32 5g and 1x Buds2 for dirt cheap (hopefully). Sadly will apparently need to open all the boxes but still I'm barely paying anything. (edited)

Free PS Vita from Amazon was my favourite. Could have got a load of free games too if I'd actually used a bit of intelligence!

The absolute best ever was a very high value (over £1000) of Viator travel vouchers for free! It was too good of a glitch to post on here so I selfishly kept it to myself and spent them as I didn't want to risk losing mine - sorry!!!

Went for years with free airport lounge access on a glitch before that got pulled but now have another glitch that gets me close to free access - though pretty useless at the moment!

I tried to post the LIFX mispricing deal on here the moment I found out about it but the company is banned unfortunately for a few reasons, I'd have to look at what the mods said again. Their trustpilot is crazy to me as I've never had one issue that wasn't actually to do with me when setting up the lights. Have had 12 now and not one broken or caused me too much hassle in terms of disconnections. Fair enough if there is zilch customer service but if we're going by that then Samsung and Vodafone need banned immediately.
