I’ve used NordVPN (on and off) for years and it seems great. The apps for phone/tablet/Mac/PC are well designed as well.

Quidco also paid the cashback pretty quickly for my last purchase in March 2020.

Not expensive at all, i’ve bought 30+ suitable routers on ebay from as little as £5 and loaded DD-WRT on all of them ‘never bricked any’ for use as VPN routers, it’s CHEAP and easy. Look on youtube for instructions on how.
Check DD-WRT for which will work before you buy.

Yes but you'll be charged, quidco will then refund 100% up to £70 excluding VAT. Cashback usually takes a few months to pay out

Seven! Wow. What are cheap £5 routers I should be looking at? Thanks

I started using Netgear WNDR3700 just buy a supported version it says the version on the label on base i.e V5
Had success with TP-link i bought in charity shop that wasn’t supported.
Different routers especially older or with different hardware can’t support the latest builds but they work fine.

Quidco "might" give you cashback! They will not refund you. I use NordVPN and have done for years but steer well clear of Quidcon!

This is interesting. So you can plug a router with DD-WRT into your standard sky modem/router and then all your devices connect to this? Your existing sky router/hub still broadcasts?

Yep it works fantastically, I've done this in the past myself. You can set your existing sky router to modem mode so it will stop broadcasting a wireless signal or just plug it into the ethernet slot without and you can connect to either router (edited)

Use different source network. e.g. if using home wifi, change to cellular, or vice versa.
Or access via browser with integral & active proxy, such as Opera, but with adblock off.

I bit the bullet and bought a subscription. Fingers crossed cashback will be paid.Just tested my Wifi connection on my mobile after downloading the NordVPN Android app. The speed drops from around 60Mbps without VPN down to 8Mbps with VPN on. Same thing happens on my laptop. Tried their chat bot but what was suggested made it even worse I get there's loss of speed when using a VPN but that's quite a big difference. Any advice?

You could try connecting to a closer server but yes their will always be a drop in speed when his a VPN.

Unless Nord has a specific feature, the VAT cost of 2-year Nord almost covers the one-off lifetime sub for 15 simultaneous connections to FastestVPN, which probably isn't, but clearly offers a greater value opportunity.

Apps & router configs available for FVPN, and / or use with OpenVPN clients.

Offer at fastestvpn.com/lif…eal less 20% discount code: special2020
(access to currency fee-free card beneficial).

    FVPN apps etc: fastestvpn.com/dow…oad

Fair observation. Quidco 100% on 83.3% is less attractive than TCB 90% on 100%.
