Youtube Premium help

Hello all,

I am in a pickle.

I had YouTube premium on my monzo without issues for last few months (using India VPN).

My card expired so I had to update details. I accidentally entered wrong expiry date (late at night so was half asleep).
Payment got denied so now Google asking for ID proof and my account is suspended until then.

I had put a random address in India for youtube to work. I need a government issued ID for them to reactivate my premium status.

Anybody got a method around this?

I have tried different email etc. It seems like my card is locked until proof is given.

Looks like you'll have to start afresh. Create a whole new Google account and use a different payment method. Crypto.com can be used if you have it. If not, get it.

I was trying to replace an expired card as the default. Not much experience with revolut as have used Wise for the last 3 or 4 years for YT and Netflix, so hopefully it processes payments with no worries. I'll look at adding a crypto card as a backup payment method maybe. To attached to my youtube account having had it forever and has everything saved and subscribed. When I’ve updated expired, or expiring cards, I’ve always added the new card as a backup payment method and then just deleted the primary.

I did that when I had my Nationwide debit card as my primary method on YouTube and wanted to change it to a Revolut virtual card and it worked fine. Never been asked for ID at any point.

If your card is locked then that would be Monzo Fraud Protection.

Sorry I may have not worded it better. The google pay seems to not let me initiate any payment. Google says error account suspended, please provide proof of identity (or something on them lines)

Yeah save yourself the headache. Delete the payment profile. Open a new Gmail and start a new YouTube premium. If card shows as locked (because they locked my card number so no matter what new email I tried, it asked for proof) then simply get a new card- using crypto or Monzo etc.

Got mine working with new crypto virtual card.

Did you try adding your new card as the backup payment method or did you just go straight in and try to add it as a default ?

So I did this via India VPN for a whole year in April and I’ve just noticed that 2 payments of UK monthly premium are due to come out of my monzo account on 24th July. Any ideas how I can stop or get around this??

I haven’t tampered with it since but of course my YouTube account location is the UK.
